Last week we had a couple that we've never met before come round to the house to pick something up. They walked past my PC station which is surrounded by my mods & juice bottles & expressed some curiosity. I'll cut a long story short here, they were both smokers, what should have been a five minute pickup, turned into three hours of playing with mods, tasting juices and drinking tea.

They left clutching a list of decent kit & where to buy it. A few days later the husband confirmed that he had bought some kit & was happily vaping away, & had only had a couple of roll ups. The wife said at the time that she didn't want to give up yet, but didn't feel the need to smoke while she was here vaping. They have joined my FB group, so hopefully I will be able to give them some ongoing support. I should add that my wife worked in a senior position in smoking cessation before retiring, we can both support quitting smokers, her with the psychology & physiology, me with the vaping.

We are hoping to set up a "quit through vaping" service for expats. Free of charge, nothing commercial, it will give us something to do. We should be talking to an Algarve magazine editor soon to get something set up.

I'm sure many many of you have "converted" smokers, but wanted to share, it's a great feeling
