Just been watching a few videos of a 'call to arms' to get a bill changed that will effectively end vaping in the USA. It's so sad to see these people (grimmgreen, suckmymod for example) be not only so passionate but emotional and nearly to tears about this. It is obviously a big deal because vaping has helped so so many of us quit smoking and offer us all an alternative healthier, more social let alone flavoursome and communal option. So why am I posting this? Us in the UK all know that a lot of what goes on politically here is governed (pun not intended) by how the USA reacts. I know and I'm sure we all do know about what the EU is trying to do with vaping but as I said, will only be influenced further should such a bill gets passed overseas. I'm not saying we should start rallying, rioting or vape up Westminster square (which actually would look kinda funny) but we should be aware that this could happen here, we could all lose our right to vape and I'm sure for most of us it would probably mean move back to smoking.
Excuse the rant but I just felt I needed to splerge and offload

Sadly our politicians are just as easily led by the money rather than common sense, although you have to take your hats off to PHE for their recent report. They at least don't seem to have been hijacked by the Big T & Big P lobbyists. Yet!!

Same here in Spain, come May 2016 it'll be the end of vaping for Spain, when you look at the over excessive regs Spain is bringing out next year. According to the regs we'll only be able to buy e-cigs from 'specialised licensed tobacco' shops (which incidentally do not exist in Tenerife) or pharmacies. I have spoken to a number of pharmacies over here and they all tell me they have no intention of ever stocking e-cigs, so where does that leave poor 'ol Tenerife then eh!!!! Online sales in Spain will be banned, all the e-cig B & M shops will have to close, apparently no e-cig forums allowed, no cross border sales. I know exactly how the guys & gals in the USA feel. Makes you really want to weep eh!!!! Or rant

Oh man that ducks! But can you bring them in privately and still vape? Like if you bought one on holiday or someone brought you one over?

I have no idea mannyer what is going to happen with regards to bringing e-cigs over from another country. The Spanish TPD draft doesn't cover anything like that (yet). I myself should be ok, I know what I'm doing, I've stockpiled loads of stuff that could be affected by the regs and they can't stop me buying batteries, wire, cotton, VG & flavourings etc etc but anyone new wanting to give up the fags will have a hard time trying to switch over to e-cigs, if at all possible over here, I just dunno how it's all going to work out for the likes of those people in the future. I also feel so sorry for all the Spanish shop owners who will have to close down their shops and dismiss their staff, take down online websites as well. I sometimes use a very good Spanish online store in Madrid which has a few B & M shops as well. They will no longer be able to trade come next year
