Cartos question

Just wondering whether cartos take a while to wear in?

I have some boges & kangers. They seem to be pretty poor on throat hit & vaper production.

I have mainly been using them on my riva style batteries.

I'm starting to think I may have colli.

Everyone I have tried so far isn't up to much. It's not the batteries either because they work fine using 510 atties.

Spent quite a lot of money on them during the last GB.

I get on fine with boges but I'm not too impressed with Kangers, not much taste on the first fill!

i dont find they need breaking in as long as they are filled correctly

what resistance cartos did you get Hissie ?

How are you filling the Kangers ? Only played with a couple but used the condom method due to the bottom coil and had no issues.

Will be buying more once I get through the 30 or so Boges and Resurrectors I have stock piled.

Gordy...I got both sr & lr boges & sr kangers. Haven't used any of the lr ones yet.

I fill them via the condom method & then blow gently so any air comes out. I fill them the same as I did when I was using DC clear cartos & never had a problem with those.

I know lyn..really not having much luck at all. I guess that's how it goes now & again.

ive had some varying experiences with boges just lately.
i had used the condom method with one hole and all was reasonably ok.
i then tried the 2 hole method and used the tank fill method, this has over 6 cartos been not so good, some 2 day and some 3 days running time but overall they were a bit wimpy from the off.
then i used 2 holes with the condom and it is still running strong after 6 days, but this was only on one carto, and this particular carto wanted blowing out after every juice top up, could be i made the holes too big but really wet seems to be much better im still getting a heavy crack from the carto.
at the time i holed the last 5 cartos i had marked the 2 air holes but mistakenly holed them on the marked areas apart from the last one and i dont know which one was which.
the reason i mark them is if you dismantle the carto you will see 2 wires running up from the bottom of the carto, if you then hole them in line with the air holes i believe you have a much higher chance of damaging the wires which im guessing is the reason the last 5 used using the tanking suck method were poor.
i have very little knowledge of this stuff but i do believe that you should look first where the 2 air holes are and pop your hole on the opposite side of the carto.
ive dismantled 5 cartos and the wires are always nearly lined up to the air holes.
maybe if everyone just tried it for a pack of boges there may be a bit more evidence but either way it certainly wont make the die any quicker.

raggy..what do you mean about making holes in the cartos & how do you put holes in them?

I have never modded anything before, or even tried to.

May have to find a replacement for cartos other than just regualr 510 atties.

hissie you only need holes if your using a tank.
ive only ever used a couple of cartos without a tank.
hissie im really no expert, probably the opposite but for me the best thing i bought were a lil mama and boges there just so simple.
ok you may still get one thats not great but a least with a tank you know its wet all the time.
the only downside with a tank imo is when your out you get some odd looks.
but beware some tanks are more hassle than there worth, the lil mama and arry v3 are the best it seems but i dont get on great with the arry the reason i dont get on with it at the minute is its too good and where ive been using 2 holes i think think vacums too much juice in and it sort of floods i will try again with one hole though next time i punch some holes.
as i say there are probably others who can give better advice.

I haven't used any tanks raggy. The cartos have only been used as they are.

i know hissie but imo you need to get one, you will never go back to attys or standalone cartos after imo.

Not sure which tank to get or where to get them from. Same with the punches.

Am going to try one of those Stardust tank things.

i dont know about the stardust tanks but the lil mama are excellent and you also get the big daddy as well if you use larger cartos at some point.
im not so sure there easy to get hold of though.
but any boge tank that has some good valid recommendations should be good.
