Since I ran out of cotton bacon, I've been using rayon and muji
I wick it the same way as I would do cotton bacon.
I leave the juice channels clear and wick is pushed against the rba base so it can let juice in.
My problem is since using rayon and muji it hasn't been wicking the wick is dry, my juice isn't thick so would be able to go through juice channels.
Any reason why these to wicking materials are not behaving?

Are we talking about the original V1 style RBA base here or the V2 with the holes in the barrel? I use Muji in the V1 all the time, i use enough for it to be a nice tight fit in the coil, spaced coil 2.5mm diameter. I leave a good gap between the cotton and the inner wall of the wall of a mm and ease it down so it's just sitting on the base.
I personally find the V1 easier as you get a good vacuum so when you draw you pull the juice into the chamber and wet the wick whereas the V2 just relies on capillary action.

I use muji all the time on v1 rba heads using the method that everyone says is no good flavourtank which is a fairly loose wick about 3-4 mm wide thro a 3mm coil lift the ends up to screw the barrel on and cut about 5mm above the top of the barrel. Then poke the wick down onto the base but make sure it is pulled back away from the juice channels in the middle which sometimes has to be done wet to make sure the channels don't get blocked. If it's a bit dry it's too much wick if it floods it's too little, nice and simple. Very rarely had a problem which usually is down to me watching TV instead of paying attention.

I can see this tank having a permanent holiday soon hahaha I'm using 30/70 pg/vg juice I can't see that being a problem

I find you need a tighter fit with Rayon than you do with Cotton Bacon or Muji. With the cotton ones, you need a little resistance, but not too much, with Rayon you need to get it a bit tighter as the cotton swells more than the Rayon when wet. It's almost as if you're using too much Rayon, but it seems to work for me

Yep @ lairey is on the money, rayon needs to be much tighter than any of the cotton wicks

Yep @ lairey is on the money, rayon needs to be much tighter than any of the cotton wicks it seems as the juice doesn't flow up the channels to get to the wick but the channels are all clear
