Have you tried changing the coil head?

Hey, welcome to the forum! There could be a few things to try, one is to take some primer pulls so you suck in some air past the coils a few times whilst the mod is not activated to help with wicking, or possibly the coil has become gunked up, though usually this takes a while to happen, maybe you can check out the coil to see if it looks gunked up or if its still relatively clear. Otherwise its possible the cotton was quite tight when the coil head was made so its not wicking properly so might need to change the coil.

hi and welcome. Subtank... subtank.... subtank.....don't ya just love em? Bane of my life from time to time. few things to check 1) juice VG not too high? over 70% can cause some slow wicking problems. If you are hitting your new vape a little on the heavy side it can end up drying out. I have experienced this from time to time 2) wick/coil primed and left for at least 5 minutes? Wicking cure is the 'jab with pointy stick' method use a needle to fluff up the wick that you can see in the holes on the side of the coil. 3) sweet juice, we all love it but it can be a coil gunker, combine that with high VG, the notorious poor wicking and 5) the RBA is very easy to use, coils can be purchased ready made or you could buy some 0.45mm kanthal and make your own. Wicking is as with all rebuildables paramount but its a little more forgiving than many and once mastered saves some of your sanity as well as cash.

Aside from all the above just figured it's worth asking which head you're using? I ask because the kit comes with 2 different ones, it comes pre-installed with a 0.5ohm head and the other head in the box is a 1.2ohm head and will burn at a lower setting than the 0.5ohm head will.

+1 to all said above.. generally the janger coil heads are pretty good and should last a fair bit longer than a day or two, But as a subtank mini fanboy (got a shed load of em) i have had 2 x dodgy coil heads recently!! so duff ones do get into the packs on occasion..
so #1) change the coil..
#2) get a pin/needle and a) fluff the cotton and ensure it covers both the round holes on the hcoil head side, and b) using the pin/needle puncture the cotton aiming for the centre of the coil from both sides this should aid the wicking and ensure thicker gunkier juice gets wicked up through the whole of the cotton..
Good luck, And fwiw the subtanks are imho some of the best hassle free attys about, but are let down on occasion by the odd dodgy coil head..

the juice should be held off from entering the vape chamber/coil head by the cotton wick covering the 2 x holes on the side of the coil head, and only wick in when you vape to maintain a saturated wick. the other possible juice entry point is at the base where the coil head screws into the base, BUT this should be sealed with a didy o-ring. SO.. try using a pin to ensure the cotton obscures the side holes, and/or try replacing or adding a 2nd oring to the screw thread at the base?? also dont chuck the dead coils.. there is an excellent how to recoil spent kanger coil heads allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/57872/recoiling-kanger-head-vertical-coil?page=1&scrollTo=1000852
