Unbelievable, try and pass on some bits for reasonable prices and get accused of profiteering and misleading people by gregd and then my posts get removed without explanation! Beginning to think this isn't the place for me! I stand by my accusations.

Unbelievable, try and pass on some bits for reasonable prices and get accused of profiteering and misleading people by gregd and then my posts get removed without explanation! Beginning to think this isn't the place for me! I stand by my accusations. Accusations? Seriously? Thought this was a friendly forum! Well someone likes to point the finger don't they! Some facts for you: The KangerTech EVODs I listed for £20 posted were swapped on POTV for a Cloupor Mini I had and never used, I'd paid £25 for this so in effect I'm losing money. Also as I pointed out to you on the Subtank thread where you accused me of profiteering, fasttech are selling the subtank at $22, about £15, which is what mine is listed for with the spare rings and of course I'll be paying PayPal fees and postage. So had I bought it from them please do explain how I am profiteering? As I said in the thread I didn't buy this from them, for the record I got it from POTV and paid £25 for 2 tanks, one was used and that's the one I kept so I think £15 is a fair and reasonable price to ask. Again given PayPal fees and postage I'll be losing money so please do explain again how I am profiteering?

paulbee - I haven't managed to keep up to speed on the matter that Greg refers to, but I do hope that it hasn't given you the wrong impression of us here at AAEC. We try to be fair, courteous, and helpful wherever possible. We are all those things whether the member is a noob or a seasoned vaper, and we like to have a laugh along the way where appropriate. Please don't judge us all the same way, but bear in mind that from our view, you arrived and without introducing yourself, put some items up for sale on the Classifieds at a quite high price (notwithstanding where you bought the said items from). Let's put this unfortunate misunderstanding behind us and start again! Glad to hear that you have 1) kicked the stinkies into touch, and 2) started to amass a collection of mods and atties to see your new hobby in. Please ask if you need help, chip in where you feel you can, and enjoy reading the many and varied posts on all sorts of topics. Most important of all, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask, so fire away, we're here to help

Whilst I very much appreciate what you say and is like to thank you for it.
It seems that after a somewhat dodgy start, where I accepted my batteries were slightly overpriced and then reduced them, some do not forget.
I've clearly explained above the position and had the mods not removed the posts you could see the goods are all as described and reasonably priced.
It seems @chrissie agrees as in her reply to my PM she stated I am buying items and selling them on at a profit! You'd think she might ask or query the facts first maybe?
I mean even if I got them free, which I didn't, the most I'd be making is £35. Hardly be worth the time to list, trip to post office etc really?
I'll think about it but I'm minded to stick to POTV, less keyboard warriors there!

I had hoped that after a bit of a false start, you'd managed to get things sorted out. I'm sure if Chrissie, Perpetua or any of the mods have called this wrong they will apologise and your for sale threads will be reinstated on the appropriate board. Unfortunately, I think you may have blown your boat clean out the water with your last statement in post #18. Members who look after each other we do have, keyboard warriors we don't. IMO, a bit of a cheap shot there.

paulbee Welcome to our forum, you appear to have had a shaky start. Please do not take it personally but someone who lists items on the classies at above market prices who is completely new here is going to ruffle some feathers. I understand you have since revised your prices to match what you see on the websites. Fair enough, but you are still asking for new item money for items which are second hand, even if they are BNIB. For those who are in the know it is a simple matter of not buying your items. I am worried about the other newbies here who don't have an appreciation of kit value. They might look at the classies on our forum and assume that anything listed there is a legitimate sale. None of us use the classies to make a profit, they simply help us clear out unused kit and pass it on to someone who can use it. Some folk even give stuff away. If you can't appreciate why some folk are a little annoyed with your activity, then I fear you may be right. This is not the forum for you. I hope not, it is always nice to have new members and the guys here are a very knowledgeable and helpful bunch of people. Please can draw a line under this and start again?

I'm going to poke me oar in here & say paulbee that PM's are just that - Private Messages...& IMHO parts of which should not be repeated on open forum. That aside, stick around, you may be pleasantly surprised

Chrissie please accept my apologies for quoting your PM, I did not realise that was not allowed and I am sorry for that. Also I would like to apologise if you feel I misrepresented what you were saying. To be frank I was quite frustrated at the unfounded accusations Greg was making and having looked through other items sold here I felt my price was fair and he chose not to comment on many other threads, probably as they were by members with a lot of posts. Also members keep saying that I was selling the Samsung 25R's at above retail, I still have not found any B&M or UK supplier that sells them for less than £5 each. Torchy sells them for £12 a pair I think it was so I reduced them straight away and yet still it seems the same thing is being said.

Your start on our forum whilst it could have gone better, doesn't mean there is not a place for you on it paulbee . . . . if you'll pardon me saying, any new Member that immediately launches into selling a bunch of gear, is going to arouse concerns when we've no past interaction with that person to go on. We do try and look out for each on the forum, as I'm sure you'll appreciate. However, I'd like to think you've satisfied and addressed those concerns - so I'm also going to suggest that we draw a line under the episode and all move on. It is hopefully the season of goodwill.

Thanks striker42With regards to that comment, I have looked through previous classifieds and it seems that many members of some standing here have posted similar items at similar prices. Actually @mikejustdidthis has pointed out the following on one of classified threads: Looking at completed classifieds, £15 seems more than fair: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/50612/kanger-subtank-nano-coils allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/51967/various-mods-attys It seems that Greg just saw fit to pick on the new guy as such, in not one but 2 threads and chooses to ignore previous posts and one current one for a Subtank Plus!

Well I tried, gill2009 Perpetua striker42 Chrissie and chykensa tried. It seems our noob has a bee in his bonnet which he refuses to drop. I don't need it at Xmas time but I now have a name in my block list. Never thought I'd ever use it on here. Such a shame.

GeoffUK I was doing no different and asking no more than other members, if thats how you feel then fine but I do feel to block me when I have not quoted you, PM'd you etc is a bit extreme and to some extent shows the protect your own mentality here somewhat. I was being accused of profiteering and misleading others, which just was not true and I will stand up for myself. Especially when my prices are similar and sometimes less than others have asked for the same products. Anyway the threads have now been cleaned up by Perpetua for which I am very grateful so I am more than happy to move on, albeit without an apology from Greg
