Big Tobacco starts their court case today fighting the UK government over plain packaging ruling: www.ft.com/cms/s/0/5def492e-9db1-11e5-b45d-4812f209f861.html#axzz3tvM2IJFZWill be interesting to see the outcome of this, especially as there has been talk about plain packaging for e-cig/juice in the future. If BT wins then we would also have a legitimate argument for e-cig packaging

I saw some 'plain packaging' nasty warning pictures but didn't look awful and I wouldn't think it would put teenagers off and not what I would call plain packaging. Might be better if they put photos of politicians on them.

their case though is that intellectual property in the brand is being stolen and as no compensations have been proffered to them for this theft the government broke the law, if they win it can still be overturned by the EU courts and it could be the case that if they win the government) then it will signal the end of TW's case against the EU, the wider picture is that all 4 of those companies have "vape" products on the market via at least one subsidiary or partnership company and they want to win this case to put them in a stronger argument position on their e-cig products with regard to the tpd and how they want the UK's version to be worded so only their collective products are permited to be sold within the UK, either way this case very well prove pivitol, if the BT companies win and then offer to voluntarily introduce the suggested plain packaging for a favour it could be very grim for market choice and vape companies across the UK indeed /
