Hi guys, thought I'd give temp control a go.
So I've got a ipv d2 , and rather then jump into the deep end and build a coil I purchased some kanger nickel temp control coils.
So im vaping this setup today .
My question is what exactly should I be experiencing that's different to my normal kanthan builds ?
I've noticed the vape is cooler but am I missing a trick?
And what is joules ( I know it from a physics point of view) but how is this used in temp control is it the ''watts' equivalent used in TC?
I'm a bit dissapointed was expecting a ground breaking vaping experience .

I'm a bit dissapointed was expecting a ground breaking vaping experience . I got to try TC at Vapefest and was a bit... "am I bovered?" However, today, I have been mostly vaping Caramel on a TC mod with Ni Kanger coil. It's terrific! Thick creamy vapour with loads of flavour and cool too. The mod says 38 watts (or something) but it's not firing at that power most of the time. It seems to be more interested in not breaking it's own "rules". I like it! Delicious....

hi, with TC the vape temperature is obviously controlled by your setting and if you have been used to the warmer vape of kanthal or similar it can be a little....mehh.... to start with. Its like everything with vaping you need to find your own sweet spot to find the right mix of vapour and temperature. Personally I find titanium a much better vape with the subtank? and there is virtually no difference between building the rba with kanthal or titanium.
as I have been told, temperature limiting mods displaying 'joules' are using incorrect terminology as you are using power (watts) to create work/energy (joules). But at least it helps you to differentiate between the two modes.

Cheers guys ,
I will stick with it for a bit , yes I'm used to that warm kanthal vape so suppose need to mess around with settings .
Think I will also pick up some Ti to experiment with my own builds .
