Another update with even more to play with. Now has a SS316 mode and even more.....you can set your own TCR starting point to customise the mod for different wires I actually prefered the V2 screen but umm....my evics are reading the correct base resistance for Ti coils and I've actually had a decent vape from three different RDAs. Seems too good to be true www.joyetech.com/mvr-software/?sid=155?age-verified=159ea26e8b

I'm impressed so far, I have dual twisted 2x 0.35mm titanium coils in a Mutation X4 that the V2 software either wouldn't give a stable base reading on or would trigger TC instantly...... its vaping like a good un on both mods. Both Evics are reading a stable 0.11ohms (reads 0.115 with escribe) whereas with V2 it would be read initially at 0.12, display lock at 0.14 then dynamicly vape at 0.12 triggering TC 60+ *C too soon. Both mods have asked for new coil settings with three different builds and a Billow and set without issue but I'm not going to tempt fate with subtanks yet Evic #1 is in standard Ti mode and is working as I expected....6 updates ago! Evic #2 I've bypassed the normal Ti mode assuming that its TCR is set correctly to see what the custom ti is like at 0350. And with the TC pulsing at 50w 205*C ...... sudden key lime flavoured fog made visibility very poor in my conservatory

Just a quick question about the Evic while we're on the subject. Got a bit impatient for the January sales and bought one tonight on EBay from a UK private seller. I asked about the scratch and check sticker and he said he can't see one on the box (box is sealed in plastic). Is the sticker on the box usually? I did find a pic on Google images that looks like the sticker is on the warranty card?

Should of added that he bought it from Elegant vapour and is happy to provide proof of purchase. Was just double checking!

the authenticity card is inside the box, pretty sure that there is a multi button press short cut to find the serial number on the mod. the shortcut list is on the joyetech forum, probably below 4 or 5 pages of 'my TC won't work properly' posts...... looks like it might now?

If the tc is getting good reports I might be tempted. What's the battery life on on these, I have a vt40 and the battery life is amazing, an istick 60 tc and the battery life is shocking.

titanium might not work with the Evic as intended today but now vaping nicely with a subtank using a 0.5mm SS304 coil in SS316 mode. I don't think that the battery is going to last long at 30w/210C...but then once the Evic has shut down who knows what it will do next time its started up?
The ammeter on the new screen seems to read higher than on the old one, ie it was reading a 14 amp peak with an RDA and nichrome claptons now its 18amps with the very same set up.

what can I say, I must have a pair of duff Evic VTC minis because the tc is back to being totally random. both are reading false base resistance +10‰ and are either hitting temp early or not limiting. One even asked new coil at the true res and then fried the wick when set. damned irritating because they work for the first time in each setting then once powered down or started up from standby.
Only thing I am having reservations about with the V3 upgrade is the custom TCR.
Why is it only possible to enter a start point, surely even if only to create a linear tcr you must need an upper reference point?

Hi new here and im lovin the new ss316 setting even if I need to change the temp setting now and then. Started off on 20w at 170c and today im on 20w at 120c for the same vape, so its abit up and down on a 0.45 316 coil. But its not burning the wick in my crown rda now and you must remember V3 is only a beta one so they should have a better one out soon. The amps seems to be the same at 3amps and dropping back to 2 amps after the ramp up which is much better than V2. I can live with the temp going up and down because im getting a much better vape now.
