Actually, I've noticed that more atties are appearing using the genius of the deck & eschewing the so-so top cap...eg. Fishbone Plus, that Avocado fing, etc...........

I bought a Fishbone plus V2-3 on a flash sale offer...really poor, not all RDAs with velocity style bases are equal. The ceramic base restricts the coil and wick, the positive post was far from straight with most of the insulating being done by the ceramic base, no airflow control, condensation. Positive side was that the triple O-ring seals were unbeliveably tight so there was a 99.9% chance it would never leak although getting it apart to drip was another story.

the helios top cap fits if you wrap some cotton under the o rings to make them stick out a little further or use slightly bigger o rings (on a mission to find some tomoz lol) Good call, PTFE tape is very good for putting under o'rings.

As we seem to be discussing drippers in general, rather than the Velocity in particular (not a problem, I should add!) I today took delivery of my Fasttech Buddha clone. Really easy to build, popped a couple of 8-wrap .6mm kanthal 3mm coils in, and got dripping - wonderful! However, the top cap is really loose on the two o-rings on the RDA base, and I wonder if any of you more experienced drippers could suggest a remedy for this. I have tried all the o-rings i currently have 'in stock' but none of them fit well. Would that trick with the PFTE tape work? Or is there a better solution than taking a hammer to it to gently tap it in a bit!?
