RIP Lemmy.
Motorhead was a tad too heavy for me, but I do like Hawkwind.
And as a side note, I have several paintings by Alan Arthurs who was a roadie for them & did most of their stage prop & album cover artwork

All I keep hearing in my head is I am the Master of the Universe The winds of time are blowing through me Its all travelling relative to me Yes he was the Master of the Universe. Still have all the Hawkwind albums on Vinyl, complete with the programme from the Space Ritual concert in Liverpool. To save the vinyl got my daughter to buy Space Ritual on CD a couple of Christmas's ago. Someone on Pistonheads put up a one liner he'd read somewhere Satan has been found dead following Lemmy's welcome to hell party. I just hope 2016 doesn't say goodbye to Ozzi anubis

RIP Lemmy, you'll be missed, and never forgotten. A little tribute to the great man....we start them young up here... Taken about 2 years ago...the next generation of Motorhead fans have risen!!

4 pints of JD a day and 2-3 packs of fags, he did well to last so long, better to burn out than fade away baby.

It's a great pity that we've lost him - one of the stalwarts of modern R&R/HM/Psychedelic rock. There's a great article on his last days here: Lemmy's Last Days: How Metal Legend Celebrated 70th, Stared Down Cancer I met him a couple of times... Both in the late 80's early 90's... around gigs in Bristol... First time he was very very wired and the second time I was... err.... Anyway, he seemed like a good bloke (but very wired, intense and quite, err, yeah). That second time was the Merry Bastard Christmas tour and, unfairly, my wife wouldn't let me wear the tour t'shirt this year.... Chrissie, I am also very very envious - Alan Arthurs is an amazing artist (not just for his '90s Hawkwind and Bedouin work) - folks - utilise search engines and be impressed. I think this is my second favourite Lemmy penned Hawkwind track (the first being that which he carried the name to his next band)
