Solid Aluminium DNA200 Evolv Reference Design

I am going to make 3 or 4 of these, one for myself.  They are the Evolv Reference Mod specification with an genuine Evolv 510 connector (gold plated pin version) and Fullymax 900 mAh battery from Evolv.  These enclosures are extremely tough and very compact, but they are raw aluminium finish and that may not suit everybody, I have been using one since July and they are my favourite DNA200.  I have previously promised Bob & blakey first refusal on a DNA200, so they would go to the top of the list if they are interested, if not please let me know if you are not interested guys.

They measure 94 mm x 40 mm x 24 mm, here are a few pica of an Evolv one next to a Hana V3 clone.  If possible I will make the battery user replaceable using 2 mm gold banana plugs there should be just enough room.  All setting (Mod res, battery profile & case thermals) will be set and I can set up Ti and SS profiles as required.  Sorry I can't commit to more ATM due to difficulties obtaining the parts, I only have 4 510s and boards.  I am still working out the fine details and the price would be around £195 plus postage, not cheap but getting the parts separately to build one is around £190 ATM.

EDIT price was later dropped to £170 due to a couple of savings on parts.



The enclosures are not from Evolv, but made from their 3D design files by Mod Crate from 6061 Aluminium with 304 stainless steel button actuators, I notice they have dispensed with the ridges around the buttons so not exactly the same as the Evolv enclosure.

Nice one VapingBad ive got two of the smaller ones to build, let me know how you get on. If they are as good as the 3d printed one i have they are going to be a nice little box.

Yosikadiri Mert Lim, but those they only took FD or VT connectors and the on first batches the anodising colour didn't match, easy to fix the anodising.  I know he was doing larger ones, but not any smaller than these.

He's apparently now doing the smallest one only in black anodised, was chatting to him last night.

I now have a few more details in and the price will be £170 + postage PP F&F and this applies to the orders I have already accepted to. Now just waiting for packages to arrive from the states.

Proper high temp tape for the screens is very expensive, plus the postage costs of 510s and other bit from the states, but I have managed to get a little of this and a couple of 510s. BTW I will use 4% silver lead-free solder.
