Welcome loopylooI smoked 12-15 Amber leaf, Cutters or GV. I started on E-Lites. After a few hundred quid, I realised I'd made a bad mistake. What got me off smoking was a double eGo kit recommended on here 3 years ago. These days, a small box mod makes more sense and the tanks these days are amazingly good. Avoid the supermarket crap. Avoid the tobacco company products. Good luck. PS - most of the time I use small tanks. Just prefer them really.

loopyloo im sure somebody will point you in the direction of a b&m i started with an istick 30watt with a smok gdc tank which has a fairly tight draw rather than an airy tank then bought a small kanger subtank nano i still use the istick daily with the gdc and nano great little setup imo

Thanks MrDJ! Would you recommend the larger tank? What is the advantage of the smaller tank? Well done on reaching 10 months, any tips? it totally depends on how much you think you might get through. i chain vape so its in my hands all the time. ive also gt 6 subtanks that eat juice but the nautilus runs at a lot lower temperature so the juice does last longer. also only £1 difference so its entirely upto you. both tanks do exactly the same thing and use the same coils and only difference is the size.

Thanks djs! Which flavour did you start with after roll-ups? Good Q? I tried a lot of tobacco flavours. Most of them are quite dreadful. Vivid Vapour and VIP (them from the supermarkets) actually sell the most disgusting. But, I persevered, made a lot of 'guesswork' purchases and still vape more tobacco-style than anything. My consistent/return-to is Hangsen RY6 (Golden tobacco). The first bottle I bought was £4.99 Thought is was OK-ish, then bought 30m for £8.99 Now, I get 100ml for £8 from Fasttech. Mr ecig do it (they are registered on here) for £1.85 if you want to try it. mr-ecig.co.uk/products/premium-ry6-18mgYou might hate it, of course. You could try the £1 e-liquid shop LiQuid. Most are good enough to vape. www.onepoundeliquid.com/one-pound-tobacco-e-liquid.html

loopyloo - hi and a warm welcome from me too! You've already had some rock solid advice, so it remains for me to say that on this forum "the only silly question is the one that you don't ask!". We have all been where you are now, only without the friendly advice you'll receive here

Hello loopyloo and welcome to the forum 30w istick is a great little mod for the money (assuming you get it from China lol) Roughly £18 if you can stand the wait, though my girlfriends sister tells me I could get one from her local B&M for £53 if I wanted As an ex rollie smoker myself I tried a baccy flavour when I started vaping and couldn't stand it, though apparently there are some nice ones out there. The one good thing I reckon a visit to a B&M shop provides is a tasting session to see what flavours you like. try them all cause you might be surprised what you get on with and what you don't and good luck on your vaping journey.

Hi all. Stumbled on this forum after a New Years Google! I am a complete novice and I would welcome any advice on where to start please. Currently smoke around 10 Cutters Choice rollies a day. Need to give up! Looking to completely quit and replace with an e-ciggie. I have read lots of information on here but I think I am more confused, there seems to be so much choice. So, basically, what should I buy??? Thank in advance. Loopy Hi Loopy and welcome to the forum. You have already had great advice so I'll just give you my two bobs worth! I was on 20 roll ups a day and quit in sept using a pen type vape, from my experience I have gained I would advise an istick 30w with a nautilus mini tank or something similar. That is my set up and I am more than pleased with it. Good luck with whatever you choose.

RY4 was my adv for a long time after I came off the stinkies and I wasn't interested in anything else. Then I moved onto fruity flavours after about a year. Then I started making my own custard, yoghurts and pies and omg my vaping taste so changed

Morning all. Firstly, thank you for the lovely warm welcome, you vapers are a lovely bunch! Secondly, thank you for all the advice. I think I am heading towards an istick with a nautilus mini as it seems to be coming up time and again. I will order from China but realise that may take some time to reach me. I think I will buy an eGo to fill the gap as it seems cheap, one link showed £9.99. Flavours are quite interesting. Ok, I'll be honest, prettty funny! Custard?! I already have a sweet tooth and I think this may have been made for me! I certainly agree that I either go along to a b&m (get me learning the lingo!) to try a few or I order some different flavours in small quantities and just have a play about. Chelmsford is too far out for me and not a direction I normally go in. I have passed one in New Barnet so might pop in. It is quite daunting so I will order some of the suggested flavours to start and then build up my confidence

Never mind the b&m store (and sales patter) - go to the london vape meet - tagging Phoenixflame (Julie) for this and have some real fun - sure you'll be made most welcome Postie stalk for china and if you really want something dirt cheap and temp - ego and CE4/Ce5 - you can get them anywhere!!! Just be careful with that charger (only use charger that comes with it and keep an eye on it - else piff, paff and the daily mail loves ya!!!). Someone else can advise more on where to get a cheap ego (maybe two batteries if you want to be safe rather than sorry? Charge one - vape on the other) Even though I mix my own again - it's taste. I always had tobacco juice for a while in reserve for when I wanted a stinky. I think I used it once! Custardy? you need a certain woman for all things custard Perpetuaand my name means e -cig destroyer LOL (e-cig/mod/battery bit) - another term for you HUgs and good luck JAne
