Hi all. Stumbled on this forum after a New Years Google! I am a complete novice and I would welcome any advice on where to start please. Currently smoke around 10 Cutters Choice rollies a day. Need to give up! Looking to completely quit and replace with an e-ciggie. I have read lots of information on here but I think I am more confused, there seems to be so much choice. So, basically, what should I buy??? Thank in advance. Loopy Hi Loopy and welcome to the forum. You have already had great advice so I'll just give you my two bobs worth! I was on 20 roll ups a day and quit in sept using a pen type vape, from my experience I have gained I would advise an istick 30w with a nautilus mini tank or something similar. That is my set up and I am more than pleased with it. Good luck with whatever you choose.

This is one of the most informative threads I have read for a beginner, it's helped me no end. Firstly, welcome to the forum and congrats on finding the best forum around. I'm glad that this thread has helped someone else...this is why I continued to update the thread and ask new questions in it, rather than starting lots of new threads elsewhere in the forum, in the hope that other people might find answers if they had similar questions as the advice I have received in here has been invaluable. Now for another update from me: It has now been exactly 4 weeks since I last had a cigarette (well, technically last night at 7pm was the actual exact time but close enough) and, apart from a mild craving on a couple of occasions, I have not wanted or needed a cigarette at all. I still go outside to vape as I don't want to risk my tenancy by vaping indoors but I don't mind going outside anyway...standing outside my block of flats, I am about 10 feet from a footpath and, over the last week, I have smelt cigarette smoke several times and I have really hated the smell of it every time which is obviously good as I am less likely to start again but also surprising as I have never minded the smell before even when I have quit for longer periods in the past. Have decided that, although I have only just bought a second Nautilus Mini, I am going to buy a Kangar sub-tank so that I can try different ratios of juice beyond 50/50...while my chest is okay with the 50/50 juices, I am still suffering from the sore throat when I vape and have also started getting it when I wake up in the night due to no fluid drinking. Will probably order it and juices in a week or two as JooseJuice website is offline till the 4th and I wanted to see what they have as well as other sites (ideally I'd want to get them from LiQuid as I know their juices but anything beyond 50/50 mix has too little Nicotine for me currently). And now to end this update with some more stats as I do love my stats!! Started Vaping: 5 weeks ago Cigarettes not smoked: 480 Money Saved: £191 Overall Save (Save Minus Costs): £94.30 cheets morph, I have not smoked since sept, and it's all down to vaping, I know this as I have tried to stop many times over the years. I just love the Nautilus mini as it suits me down to the ground, I don't know if it's the tight draw described by many on here, I just seem to enjoy it. i don't need any more kit at the moment, but I have looked at the Kanger sub tank mini, and that really does look like a good bit of kit if you want to rebuild coils yourself. And to be honest that's the next step up for people like us that want to enjoy our vaping and keep the costs down. Whatever you do, just enjoy it.

[quote author=" bullseye " In truth I don't feel very comfortable with vape shops at all, they seem to be staffed by young blokes blowing clouds and never seem to have any prices on show. Personally I find them a bit daunting as a beginner, I now do all my shopping online. I totally agree with you bullseye I have been in my local ecig shop 2times and never again. First time I bought an ego battery second time a replacement glass for nautilus mini. When I need help I ask here and there is always someone who can give a good advice [/quote] i agree mate, all the info and advice is on here. It's funny I've always believed in using my local shops, but why do vape shops assume that a potential customer knows everything? Both the vape shops near me are always empty, why they don't have some prices and a bit more info in their window displays just escapes me! Don't they have a clue in how to draw a customer in? It seems not. Their potential customers in my experience don't feel comfortable in the shops then look online to meet their needs.

A warm welcome and congratulations to you bullseye . Your iStick and Nautilus are a great introduction to the wonderful world of vaping, although I wouldn't dismiss your first set up as being a complete mistake - you may find in a few months time, with a suitable eliquid, that the different style of vaping is more enjoyable for you. Variety can help keep our habit fresh and interesting. Hi and welcome bullseye Can only second what Perpetua said In a few months time you may be grateful for that original purchase as your styles of vaping, may, change. You're off the fags, that's the important thing. The learning curve is a lot more fun with a few downs as well as the ups. Be cheaper, but not as much fun. You are right, after a couple of days quality vaping I'm feeling much more positive than I was. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi and welcome! You could just get another Nautilus and stick it on your iStick 50 - it will have twice the battery life and will vape just like the one on the 30 - just set it to the same wattage - and backups are important, because vaping equipment only fails when it's most inconvenient. I did that very thing tonight, kept vaping away happily on the 50 while I was charging the 30w up! Not such a bad mistake after all.

greetings and to AAEC bullseye As Perpetua has said, the other gear you have is great as a backup. likewise, do remember you can use the istick 50w with your nautilas as well. Enjoy Thank you, I got a nice bottle of 6mg juice as an early Christmas present tonight and enjoyed it on the nautilus, tasted a hell of a lot better than the 18mg stuff I tried on it when I didn't have a clue what I was doing

to the community bullseye from a fellow newbie. I know exactly what mean about and totally agree about vape shops (I'm sure there must be exceptions out there) if it wasn't' for researching and picking up some great advice on this forum I would also have given up on vaping. Merry Xmas to you and your family too.... I totally agree with you about this forum. All the best to you and yours!
