Try leaving a small airpocket at the top when you fill it.

bunglebear, Yes exactly same problem, regardless of the amount filled. Noticed this Serpent does not have any "air escape slots" in the top of the tank, so when the top fill cap is screwed on, it pressurises the tank contents and then immediatly dumps about 1ml of juice straight out of the air slots, even with the juice flow control still closed ! Once it has equalised it vapes and performs pefectly, all the way untill empty. So now use conventional bottom fill, PITA as there really isn't much of a gap to fill. First new wick build does not do this, guess because the wick is not saturated and can absorb the additional juice forced into it. Think this is a silly design flaw by Wotofo, knew i should of waited for a version 2 !! Shame really, as this is a seriouse flavour tank, up there with my drippers. But still one of my favourite go to tanks, even with this problem. Now using a 3.5mm ID coil with muji scottish roll wick method, so plenty of cotton on the deck and the tip 1/4 way in the vertical juice slots, (but still dumps juice after fill). If you find a fix, would love to know.

Yep same issue on full. It is down the the air in the fill cap pushing the juice out of the bottom. I don't think this can be cured if you over fill. I also found if you pop the fill cap on but not too tight and turn upside down so the air goes to the bottom will help the pressure equalisation issues. Plus make sure the juice control stays closed when unscrewing the fill cap.

Always a bit of a delicate balance as well with these RTA's with regards to the amount of cotton in the juice channels. Too much and it dry hits, too little and it floods.

Update...Tried above fill method and it worked a lot beter. Not perfect, but only had a couple of drips this time from the air slot. So probably need to play around with wick placement. I will get this bugger to work ! Thanks for advise.

1: Small wick ports like the KF! I make sure the wick deck has a full but delicate tuft of cotton. Thats always worked for me.
2: Small wick ports like the erlkonigin I make sure that I do a pancake type build (this helps hold more juice) then apply wisps of cotton down the juice channels.
3: bigger wick ports need more cotton to help stop the floodgate of juice. With these I tend to only use 3mm or more coil diameters to assist with a larger pancake type build. I just make sure on my serpent that i put a portion of the pancake tuft down the slots too.
Another key thing is when you cut the cotton, you tuft or seperate the compressed cotton from the cut you made.
This wick recipe has worked for me.

Well I have filled up 4 times since I posted and no leaks and I have very little wick in place, almost like you would wick a fogger V2. Its going to be a fine balance, but its always a learning curve with tanks anyway. But at 29w its a hot vape
