I started to watch it on BBC as they first came out, but then realised they were going to be out there for 6 1/2 hours, so gave up after 10 mins. He's made the record books though. The first UK citizen to make a space walk.

Great viewing...................Glad it's not me though..........Those tool bags would be filled up with clean, spare, underwear & toilet rolls if it was.................My man bits have shot up inside me, just watching it.........

When you look at the outside of the space station you realise it's a mega complicated meccano model. How they don't keep snagging themselves on all the bits sticking out I don't know.

It is incredible to sit here watching & listening to them 250 miles above us, fixing & adapting that huge, lifesupporting (as you put, Bobsbeer ) Meccano set. Must admit, there is nothing in me that makes me want to do what they are, my botty is twitching watching them.

I think it must be great hanging around out there. The view must be superb. Sadly they don't want to send 59 yr old ex smokers up there, or I would volunteer in a heartbeat.

I am a big sci fi fan and it hurts me to think that when space travel is available to the masses I will be long gone from this world. That must be such a buzz for good old Tim, jealous much!
