Apologies for the list but I couldnt see a better way of asking, Ive watched a numerous youtube videos and read a few guides but Im still left a little confused. I have a Kanger SubTank plus and a Crius. When putting a new coil on to a deck which has the screw down design like the subtank RBA do you wrap the leg of the coil a little round the screw or leave it straight and screw the head down on to it? I got scissors with my coiling kit but I tend to find there is always a tiny straggly bit hanging out after cutting, I get a more flush cut using nail clippers, do the wee straggles make any difference could I just leave them? Im used to the dual coil 1.8ohms kanger coils and so wanted to rebuild that ohm level. I tried using 30g and 14 wraps with a 2.5 hole, they came out at about 2.5 or 2.6ohms. to get 3.6 in each am I better going for a higher guage or trying a wider hole? I was using a "magic coil" jig but found after about 12 wraps it started over lapping, that and the fact I never see 3.6ohms coils premade on FastTech/GearBest makes me wonder if Im trying to do something unpractical? From what I can tell the Cirus v3 velocity deck. cant be used as a single coil device? Lastly Im always a bit worried about mixing up my batteries. So if I went down the route of having two 1.8ohm coils in my Crius and I put it in a non-subohming battery what would actually happen? Ive got an Innokin MVP 2.0, MVP 3.0 and a Innokin disrupter, so only the MVP 2.0 cant subohm but would I do damage to battery if I forgot, or would it just not fire? Sorry again and thanks for any help forthcoming

If im shooting wide someone will correct me im sure, but Afaik with a regulated mod you dont need to worry about battery/coil combos being safe , thats purely in the realm of mechanical mods which simply Connect the battery to the coil, so a sub ohm coil could draw more current than is safe from the battery. But with a regulated device if you put a too low a resistance coil on you will get a 'check atty' or 'low res' message on the screen or something similar to indicate the coil resistance is too low and it will simply not fire.. check out steam engine www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp to help you design your coils, but yes thinner wire with larger coil diameter will provide a higher resistance. Its probably easier to get single coil tank attys than try and faf about with wicking a single coil in a dual coil tank atty, lemos are well regarded single coil attys, and most attys with the rba/stock coil option use single coil rbas

oh yes and as long as the coil leg is secured tightly under the screwhead there is no need to bend round too.. Waggeling the remaining leg violently will/Should? create a weak point where its secured under a screwhead and break off neatly with fatigue failing that nail clipper snips can be used to snip close to a post you can get special vaping clippers from sites like fasttech too..

" From what I can tell the Cirus v3 velocity deck. cant be used as a single coil device? "
I use my crius with a single vertical coil and it works as well as two horizontal if not better as it uses less power less juice with just the same flavour and vapper out put. I roll up some cotton tight to block off the spare air hole , rap the coil in cotton and feed it off the four juice holes. So there is cotton behind the coil that is fed from the back two juice holes as well. Never a dry hit and works really well.
