Ok. So I have distressed it...a little further than I thought I would BUT for me, it's cool. If I do a run of mods, I will have distressed and non-distressed. Have put some clear lacquer on now just to give it a bit more of a shine. Couple more coats and leave to dry for a day or so. Then assembly time!
