Simple question, does the source matter, if they are pharmagrade or high food grade are they fundamentally the same. The appears a wide range of sizes , prices etc on fleabay . My last lot was £19.50 for 2 lts + 2lts, but if I am honest, I have tried lots of flavours with it so far, including known favs from joosejuice and I am not quite capturing the same taste, even though I am using the same %, so now I am wondering...is it the base mix that is dissimilar.
Your thoughts are welcome...before I reorder more base mix lol

A point to bear in mind fisher - steeping/maturation of your juices is crucial. If you try for instance a custard mix after a few days, it will taste nothing like the same mix allowed to mature over time; in the case of custard, it needs a minimum of 4 weeks to start blending at a molecular level and develop a broad flavour. Regardless of the bases you use, this is perhaps the most overlooked factor in the creation of a good robust juice which tastes the way you want it to.

as the majority component in ejuice i have found not all pg/vg to be similar in taste. i will pay more for pg/vg that i like rather than just go with the cheapest. that said i am currently using lubrisolve which is pretty cheap so its win/win for me.
i also find the best way to 'like' your own ejuice is to steer clear of the shop bought stuff. eventually your own will become the norm if you arent constantly comparing it to something else.

Thx for the replies. I have been ageing ....steeping so that shouldn't be an issue. The first lot of base was from flavourhouse i think. Just ordered from lubrisolve so see how we get on there. Will keep going. Have got 1 or 2 going nicely

The quality of the base nic is important - but different bases can taste better with different flavours. I usually get Nicvape's nic as i like the clean taste - but also it works well with whatever flavour i choose. Pirate vape - a while back - reduced some of his nic for being 'dirty' - nowt wrong just meant it was perfect for tobacco juice but 'tainted' the flavour of something more delicate. I have a fondness for Mom and Pop's concentrates - just mix at thy preferred percentage and steep. VG based and enough variety of flavours for most tastes. Plus Mom is pretty OCD about always keeping her mixing lad Clean and sterile - which i have sympathy for but a huge bonus as a customer. The Aroma Zone 'French Organic' VG i discovered here in China - is less chemically and has a slightly more 'fruity' sweetness to it - and seems very clean, comapred to Boots own (usually bought at 3 for 2 prices). It could all be placebo effect, or purely in the imagination - but if it adds to the enjoyment of thy juice - who cares

Aloha I probably average around 15% - though 10% is OK if you have a few weeks to let it steep. I usually mix 100ml at a time and use around a bottle and a half of concentrate but a bottle and 2 weeks steeping is OK for me with Praze.
I'm not a 'flavour chaser' though - as long as it's not horrid i probably vape it - but M+P's Praze has been my all day vape for around 3 years now ????

Strange me post disappeared fisher M+P's can take an ickle longer than some to steep - i assume that's cos tis VG based - so remember to change the flavour in a calculator to VG too Actually in a quandary at the mo - run out of M+P's now - so do i impose on me Ma to send me some more - or start the trial and error of trying to find something that might be acceptable here - bearing in mind that i can't order from FT, Health Cabin etc - without getting in sent to Ireland and then sent back to China
