I totally agree.

He only sells 100% VG juices so I did get the impression it was a sales tactic on his side.

I found the chart from Pepetua extremely helpful and I will print it off and show him as he was a bit of a know-it-all so will be fun to hit him with some hard facts.

I apologise in advance for bringing up a topic a few people seem to find a bit tiresome.

Whilst levels of diacetyl are likely to be low, those still concerned can source diacetyl (or other similar diketones) free flavour concentrates / e-liquid.

Many flavour houses have also produced a version 2 of their suspect flavours. But many people prefer the taste with small amounts of these compounds!

It all comes down to personal choice. And it should be remembered that the levels that we are talking about appear to be considerably less than found in cigarettes.

not at all vapemeister69 - actually thanks for bringing it up - only a few days ago a friend of our's mentioned popcorn lungs - and I wanted to do some research - as I had not heard about it - you saved me a lot of time - did not even know, that it was discussed over and over again already

What the vaper of 6 years obviously then failed to tell you......is that it's in far less quantities than it is in cigarettes.

The whole diacetyl thing was a tactic dreamed up by the anti- mob as a way to demonise vaping.

One other thing I will add in that I recently read ( can't remember where sorry)
Is that there has not been a single case reported of a smoker that has developed popcorn lung,
So if this is the case and it's true it's doubtful
It would happen from e-liquid as it contains far less then a cigarette?

I think that at the end of the day it is for each individual to research the subject and ask experienced members on the forum for their input, how else will they put their minds at ease? This is a subject that will come up many more times yet, regardless of whether or not it has been done to death.
