So my tapatalk app updated last night. I am now finding that add are sneaking in masquerading as threads and comments within threads. Can I get rid of these or is it a case of going back to the older version?

stressederic I've noticed that since the update before last. Just checked and I am on version 5.5.1 Couldn't see an obvious way to get rid of them but didn't spend a lot of time looking as I only use it occasionally.

Android: If you can find a way to get it (for heavens sake scan it), Tapatalk Pro (no longer on Play - I think that is the case for those who bought it as well) was the pay version which didn't include ads (the idea was you bought it and permanently gained an ad-free environment. Whilst they need to make money and their pay-once business model was never going to be sustainable, I couldn't help feel bitter when they did this. The irony for me was that I always went to a lot of effort on my smartphones (starting with root privs) to remove / block ads and associated battery drain (but always paid where the option existed)- my Note 4 is my first without root and thus I'll (unless they've introduced an ad-free option) be stuck with my old version forever....

Basically just a phone/tablet app to browse the forum rather than using your normal web browser.

I must be using pro as I don't have any adds on mine? Tapatalk is a forum hosting app, So you can have all your forums in one place and get all your notifications through it, I do find it works better on some forums than it does on others,
