I know we have to be extra careful using these or any batteries'... I only own 2 18650's and both have gone the same way and are not holding the charge.... Not knowing if the white washer thing actually does something to protect the battery or the device... So Saturday I tried to order 2 from here puremist.co.uk/ecigarette-accessories/pure-mist-batteries/2-SAMSUNG-25R-INR18650-25R-2500mAhHowever at the check-out point it only accepted PayPal, as previously stated in another thread I now refuse to use PayPal. So ordered 2 from Torchy that came today but the dam things don't fit!!! see photo, no way are they going to fit in there. Back to the main question are the 2 blue batteries safe to use please?

If they don't hold charge they are unstable and volatile and the wrap is a very important part to insulate. Especially around the top and the washer is there for added protection!

It looks like you have bought button top batteries instead of flat top Speak to Torchy and he may well exchange them as Jim is usually a top bloke. Ask for Samsung 30Q's or Samsung 25rs

The white disc acts as an insulator, if anything conductive comes in contact between the side wall of the battery and the positive terminal in the centre you will short the battery i would not use those batteries unless you rewrap them.
With regards the Torchy batteries i'm not 100% sure but believe they are protected cells which have a pcb on them you want unprotected IMR's.
I'm with you on the PP thing too mate by the way, i closed my account and quit using them for 6 years but when i started vaping i found it a real pain in the arse to find vendors who take card payments and i didn't want to use my card on Chinese sites either so opened a new Paypal, i only use it as a buyer though.
PS i think dnavapes.com allow you to pay with credit cards, click the checkout button rather than the checkout with paypal button. They have Samsung 25r's, 2 for £9.99

The ones you have bought look like the Panasonic icr 7.5 amp? I'm pretty sure they are protected and the wrong thing to use in your mod!

If the yellow ones you bought are these Clicky then I would NOT use them for vaping even if you could shoe horn them in to a different mod as they are shown as a measly 7.5 Amp discharge.

The yellow ones have a fuse at the bottom of them, that is why you can't fit them in your mod (ie. they are protected batteries), you need unprotected ones.

Just get them changed by Jim. 30q or 25r are good ukvapers.org/Thread-20A-Torchy-3500mAh-18650-batteryThese are better in single battery mods such as the subox etc and last a day and a half. I tested these for Jim and they outperform the 30q by half a day easily. AND DO NOT USE THOSE BLUE ONES, they a fukkked

Thanks all for the replies, I guess I knew the answer I was going to get. The big problem I now have is no batteries, I only have the 2 mods one being a cool fire with a sealed battery and won't hold a charge and the other being the one in the above photo, but think I would rather have that than no face or fingers...
Managed to get hold of Pure-mist on phone and ordered 2 so hopefully they will be here Wednesday, also messaged Torchy via eBay to see if he can help me out... I know it's all my own fault ordering the wrong ones and allowing myself to get in this position, not being able to work it's hard to find the funds to vape sometimes. Thank you all for helping a stupid old fart.

If I was home I'd post you a good battery tomorrow. Don't feel silly because you didn't realise something. We all have to learn everything and here is a good place for that
