You prefer kanthal Perpetua ? I've got various but normally grab the nearest one to me. I find them a godsend too. So much less faff and if you'd seen my attempts at making them, you'd agree !

Dam You mean all this time I've been doing it the hard way Hmmm Yes! But then again if coiling is something you enjoy and can do quickly, easily and well, it's very much each to their own jtc. You prefer kanthal Perpetua ? I've got various but normally grab the nearest one to me. I find them a godsend too. So much less faff and if you'd seen my attempts at making them, you'd agree ! Ummmm . . . . . probably @spikeyfridge, I don't really pay much attention to gubbins like that, as long as it works - does me nicely. I'd have more success knitting the miles of wire I have, rather than attempting coiling with it! I think I am going to have a go. Would these work for the Kanger sub-tank OCC rebuilds Nick I'd certainly think those . . . . the LTQ ones are what Get Off My Cloud recommended for the sub tank RBA unit.

Pepperty Whoops, I see how You could've interpreted the 'Ready-Rolled' as pertaining to wicks...sorry, My dodgy phrasing:- 'Ready-Rolled' = Ready-made coils! No 'short' cuts (see wot I did there?... ) wiv mesh!!

Sigh, I have the ready cut squares of mesh. .. I'll just have to sit down and follow a YouTube tutorial Mind you I just fixed sons iPhone 4 problem with no wifi by following a video -was easy rooting about the innards! I'm sure stainless steel mesh wicking will be simple enough!

I so want to like these as at present I am buying ready made in the UK, but on one unsuccessful attempt, I could my tank and done a dry burn and the smell was just awful, it toddler put me off trying again. Most likely my fault as I am in the habit of pre during my kanthal coils and not sure whether the same applies for nichrome

E Thanks to a brilliant recommendation from Get Off My Cloud , these are my current favourites . . . . perfect if like me, you have age related near sight/close work problems. The holes on these coils are a doddle to thread cotton through, in all the available ohms. I love them so very much, that I'm certainly buying more! www.fasttech.com/products/3033/10016556/3351600Thanks for sharing this.. they look good.. in the basket :-) Just wondered if the wire is clean or would you recommend washing them? Thanks

For cleaning, when fixed on mod - but before wicking - dry burn, just pulse fire button on low setting until new coil glows red from centre out (or if doing dual coil - they both glow together evenly)
