I run a small Facebook group over here on the Algarve. There are very few B&Ms or online stores in Portugal. The TPD is already in law here, although tbh it hasn't made any difference to anything yet. I set the group up to help convert some expat smokers & help them through the vaping journey. It's also a good place to find out about local vaping resources & helps keep people up to date on the latest advocacy news affecting vaping. We've managed to encourage quite a few people to give vaping a try and have a number of successful quitters. Plus - it's good fun

I'm a member of a few. The upside is that if they're local you can sell stuff and the buyer comes round to collect and hands over the dosh so obviously saving postage costs. I certainly wouldn't buy or sell if I couldn't meet face to face.
That's the only upside though. IME they tend to be mostly populated by semi literate, willy waving chavs who can't express themselves without using f*** or c*** every other word. The level of general vaping knowledge seems to be confined to what you need to make the biggest cloud. I've learnt precisely nothing of any use from any FB group.

As with many things in life it just depends on the individual group.
I belong to a fairly well populated local group (run by a fellow AAECite, although he rarely posts anymore) and have bought and sold but this has always been face to face (group organises regular local meets).
Its just another avenue at the end of the day - certainly wouldn't rule out all groups just because they are on Facebook

I am on facebook and am added to quite a lot of vaping groups but I don't buy, I just wouldn't risk it. But in saying that there are a fair few of our members on there so I have driptip swapped but only because I recognise the persons real name from forums! There are a few very good groups, I particularly like VHB as its an unusually well ran (and massive) vaping home brew site with excellent recipes. They have added many to Eliquid Recipes and its a superb resource and lots of support - it reminds me of AAEC mindset Oh I can't imagine that... And, erm, ELR
