We was posh, on my paper round we had a "links" golf course, made loads finding the balls, used to get paid the same, but in 10s not 100s, and weekends scoring for the local CC made up some more pocket money. +1 Black Jacks & Sherbert DipDabs & Tigernuts -1 for Root Liquorice, I preferred the Red one Sheesh... I'd forgotten that. Used to do it before a few years later playing for them... only got paid in cucumber sandwiches though.

Raffles Did you ever try these: They were about twice as long as a normal ciggie and I think they were 3d each instead of 1d for a single park drive No, they must have passed me by... but I do remember thinking 'I was a man'... when I progressed to 'Senior Service'... happy days eh?

Think I only got a florin or maybe a half a crown if I did the paperwork for an afternoon, and sometimes we'd have the pleasure of Uncle Albert (Jack Howarth) come down to watch the matches

Loved tiger nuts & Spanish root, some international food stores still sell them. Victory V's, loved the taste & the feel of them, also, Bar Six choccie bars, similar to a KitKat & who can remember Cresta? "It's Frothy Man!'

LOL Stop it... you've just brought back memories of me trying to impress the girlfriends in the 'select' pubs... with 'chicken in the basket', 'scampi in the basket'... now they were happy days.
