Never was one to get up early calnorth - had the choice of getting up for 6.30 6 days a week to do a paper round in sun, rain or snow for at most £3 a week, or just pootling round the local golf course, and diving through hedges, climbing down cliffs, and dangling over mine shafts to collect golf balls for a tenner for 100! No contest really (and yes i was a junior member so was entitled to be there too!) This happily kept me in Texan's, Curly Whirly's, Mojo's, Black Jacks and sherbert Dipdabs - and my dentist in employment

On the Sats a 1/2 day job in wet fish shop 5 miles away. The latter did my skin good, but I really stunk on the bus when bike was busted. I once hopped school and wrote a letter for the teacher, copying my mums signature. School inspector at the door 3 weeks later...why was I doing paper rounds at my age. oops! Signature was good. Fruit Gums galore!

Can't say i have calnorth - but i'm kinda limited by my innate survival instinct and lack of linguistic ability - so i may have unknowingly tried it but wouldn't know it Not to keen on the Chicken feet - taste OK but too 'fussy' for me - like a lot of Chinese food tbh. Taste great but 'filleting' would be a skill the chefs could learn, not unduly alter the flavour and increase my overall enjoyment of the food - whatever it actually is

yahoo2u2 & Bob ... Yep, I had a 'Bullworker' and before that the Charles Atlas 'instructions'... never had sand kicked in my face after that, cos I never went on the beach if the 'big boys' were there. When none of us knew any better... plus I was never alone with... and when I felt cool, pretending to be James Bond, and down with the boys (and girls), the American 'soft pack'... searching for pics I even found one of Sir Stanley Matthews advertising 'Craven A' fags Never really had a 'sweet tooth', so 'Spangles' is the only one that stands out, and also... where if you wanted a choice, you either opened the little blue bag of salt or you didn't, none of the ridiculous range today.

Raffles Did you ever try these: They were about twice as long as a normal ciggie and I think they were 3d each instead of 1d for a single park drive
