Now i do like the normal minis i have so thought this may be good for a work tank and wondered if anybody has any experience of them or the new coils ??.

I bought one of these yesterday. I already have the subtank mini but prefer top fill tanks. In comparison the glass is very slightly shorter than the normal mini and there is no spare in the box or any spare rubber seals. The coils run at .2 rather than .5 occ coils that are supplied in the normal mini, therefore power range is increased from my normal 24.5W up to 40W to get same taste, but the .5 occ coils do fit . It also comes with RBA deck which is the same as the normal one. The only thing about it I don't like is the plastic drip tip and am just in process of looking online for new s/s one. In all, it's a nice tank, easy top fill with screw down top. Hope this helps ????

Its a shame there is no spare glass as i am prone to braking them , i also got a pack or two of the new ssocc 1.2 coils not sure if i like them or not yet (seem to have a slight taste to them). They may need a bit longer to settle it than the older square ones but like you i did try the old ones for fitment so thats handy as i still have a good few packets of them. The base from the "normal" tank will also fit the top tank again handy as i got 6 new ones as spares. I think the base seals from the normal tanks will fit fine, just need to find a place to get some top end ones from and some spare glass's. But overall i like it ok its not hard to fill the old one up but the top fill does at least save you keep unscrewing it on and off your mods and risk doing a tread in on it. I think the coil that comes fitted is a temp control one (blue seal on bottom) ?? I quite like the new drip tip but i do agree its just a bit too short for my liking so i have been using one from the old tanks on it until i get a new one.

Now i do like the normal minis i have so thought this may be good for a work tank and wondered if anybody has any experience of them or the new coils ??. I ordered the top section in the same size as the tanks I already own from ft the other day when someone else linked to them www.fasttech.com/products/3766303 they come in a few different sizes and colours so i'm hopeing they fit on the same base and coil as the standard tanks I bought in November, I prefer to use the rba deck than the pre built coils, I flirted with the ni200 occ coils in one but they don't last long enough to justify the price tag before they gunge up (standard 70% vg mamms milk liquid and the coils last me a couple of tanks or about 3 days) it seesm the standard size though is 3.5ml for the genuine kanger ones, I am tempted ot get the 9ml top gear if for no other reason than it would last a couple of days so I wouldn't need to take refill with me if I went on a trip somewhere

large enough to fir the tip of a standard 10ml bottle from liquid in i'd wager maby not much good for some of the refill nozzles but should be fine for the refilling gear i'm using as to the genuine top tanks units, the chief reason for me getting these clones was that I already have a box full of spare tanks, sure I cracked the glass on one of the tanks the day I got it (clumsy fingers) and ordered the spares but in the 3 months since I haven't damaged the other two .... so I figured i'd hedge my bets and get something I already have the spares for, I also suspect the clone units were the original toptank designs they decided not to go with as being too close to someone elses I.P., also i'm surprised at just how many new stuff is coming out not beign tin the smaller tpd compliant sizes, some EU idiot indicated that non tpd compliant vendors would be added to the great network filter in the near future and most of the EU hasn't decided to allow for sell through to take place so its looking more and more like it will be anvil time come 20th may for a lot of places .....

I bought a Toptank Mini two weeks ago as a 3rd (spare) tank. Pretty disappointed with it compared to the normal Subtank Mini (I have two in daily use). As reported, it comes with no spare glass tank or spare pack of seals. The RBA says it's an RBA Plus but the juice holes are tiny compared to my other stock RBA Plus decks.
Most worryingly, for the first time in 3 odd months I had a leaking Subtank (never had a leak on my Subtanks and I rebuild them at least every 48 hours). It occurred after (top) refilling and leaked like a sive through the airholes. I had to unscrew and re-attach the bottom deck to pressurise before the leaking stopped. Kind of defeats the object of a top fill Subtank when bottom filling on a Subtank is so easy anyway.
All things considered, a disappointing backwards step for Kanger IMO and I'll be sticking with the Subtanks for sure.

I'v been using mine for a couple of days now and really not had one drip leak (yet) only thing i will say is I'm not so keen on the new round coils. i think the older square ones taste better but as we know taste is subjective.

Same here, been using mine constantly and no drips/leaks. Still not sure myself about the round coils but will persevere until it needs changing and maybe try the square ones to see if it makes any difference

I must have put the thing together 10 times before I got it together properly...... not quite that bad, but the other gotcha is with plastic unicorn/needle tips you can pick up the tiny orings on the bottle and then screw up.. only noticing the oring when you cap the juice bottle so undo and reset the oring in place. the other type linked to above with the holes in the top cap too so you dont unscrew the cap but align the holes with the cap in place may be a better option??
