I think I read that last year had the biggest surge in vinyl sales since CD's were made available. A lot of smaller record labels like www.alive-records.com/ release most of their catalog on vinyl. I much preferred the sound from vinyl and if I had the room would go back in a heartbeat. Plus the feel of having an album in your hands and the artwork was easier to see. Inner sleeves as well. And Lyric Sheets. Labels were easier to read. You had labels to read. Album Credits. 180 gram vinyl. Gatefold Covers....... (Shut up Crump!)......Ok, sorry.

Was brought up on Motown, a strange combination.... tales of heartbreak laid over an uplifting uptempo melody.
It sparked a lifelong love of black American music & a 30 year vinyl obsession for me, spent most of my adult life thumbing through sales boxes in record bars, always went home with an empty wallet.
Had to sell up a few years back, very painful, but made a very good living for a couple of years, the music i love looked after me when i needed it the most.
As for the show, glad you had a good night out, they'll have to take it on tour & bring it further North to tempt me out though.

Thank you sydsut, tim . . . . I'll have to get round to checking Ebay out, it was a nice piece of equipment at the time I think. I could always offer ' Collection Only ' perhaps.

When I was young an uncle left me after death a 1920's wind up turntable with records and spare needles, at the time lived with mum and dad, one day in fit of madness my dad handed it all over to the dustmen, what would that be worth now, I hate to think, but heho these things happen.
