As nanotm said, yup, if android is your thing. But if you can live without the expandable storage and waterproofing and live with a smaller battery, the S6 Edge is a stunning phone and will be somewhat cheaper by the time the S7 hits the streets. Only go for the S7 if you think you'll use the power it brings to the table. If you use your phone for calls/texts and the odd bit of browsing, the S6 will do all you need and more. Sent from my X5pro using proboards don't sell the ip68 rating short there, the s6 doesn't have it and the number of folks who drop a phone in a sink/bucket /loo is rather high, you wouldn't want to waste the price of an s6 when for a few quid more you could work rest or play with something that wont mind the kids abusing it in the paddling pool come summer ....... and its not just the little sort of kids that the last part..... And the lack of expandable storage. Don't forget that. There is no way I'd buy an S6 just for that reason. It is, in fact, pretty much the ONLY reason I didn't buy an S6 when they were launched (despite my S4's contract being up, and me being a geek, and loving the latest phone). To be honest, I waited on the Moto X Play. And I really like it. It does what I want, and was reasonably cheap. It could do with more internal memory for apps that refuse to be moved to SD card though. The other thing I noticed with it though, is that I went with Three PAYG with this phone. I find I use just less than a tenner a month. So I don't think I'll get myself roped into a ~£50 pm contract this time round. Buy phone, stick in SIM, cheapest possible way.

Buy phone, stick in SIM, cheapest possible way. that's a few of the reasons I moved away from the flagship phone end of the scale and more towards the lower end, my Lumia 550 does everything the Lumia 920 did except it has changeable batteries and sd card slot, bigger screen and the same amount of onbard memory, it also costs less than £100 where the Lumia cost around £480 sim free or closer to £600 on contract, I went with a cheap android phone on a £13/mth contract (unlimited data /texts +200 minutes locked ot no more than £5 spending) I got similar contracts for my kids but I locked them to zero spending limits..... if i'm honest I would probably pay and extra £100 for the Lumia 550 if it was also ip68 or better rated but I wouldn't waste my money getting another top of the range phone unless it offered something truly unique the lower end phones didn't have, I do howevr like to read all about upcoming phone releases from the various companies just so I know if a particular deal is good or not ( been out of contract for a few years now but I cant find anything that gives the similar price point /value for money so just keep it going and buy second hand phones for the kids most of the time, there currently on Lumia 435's because argos flogged them for £25 each in the summer) of course I hate that every handset change means new cases and new screen covers .... its all cheap stuff but when buying for 6 users its expesnive to change more than once every few years....

Tomorrow I've got everything crossed for it to arrive in the morning, I really don't fancy my late shift at work knowing my new toy is waiting for me at home! Sent from my X5pro using proboards

I am hanging on for the Note 6 or possibly the next Nexus at the end of the year.
Played with an S7 edge at the weekend and dam it is a thing of beauty. The screen was incredible.

Still run a Note 2 on sim only deal. Always lusted after a note phone but could never afford one. Bought this last year at a bargain price and it was totally unmarked (has been in a case since, with a tempered glass screen protector). Maybe one day I'll upgrade to a 4 but for now this does the job and I love it.

Or not. Looks like it'll be tomorrow at the earliest.
Apparently the courier didn't have enough information to find my address, but they seem to have located my front door well enough to leave me a card. Jokers.

A mate pre-ordered from Voda and was told he could pick his phone up today. He got to the store and they didn't have any in stock. Genius.

You haven't got it yet When I got my S3 I loved it, but the love affair soon turned sour and after numerous breakdowns and other problems like having to power cycle it to get mobile data working etc I was ultra pleased to get a well made phone back in my hands. I've not seen or read about the S7 yet but I'll be very interested if someone reads the small print on the 'waterproof' claims, my HTC is waterproof, but when you read the small print you have to avoid salt water or any water with chemicals (ie chlorine) added. Suits me fine, I have no chems in my tapwater but was a little disappointed that I couldn't use it as an underwater camera on holiday. I've always been happy with HTC, (I was even happier with my myriad of Nokias before Android became my goto system) and unless they succumb to the cheap build that so many others have 'evolved' to I will continue to support them

Ah, but I know how good the screen is I didn't think I'd ever switch from HTC until the charging port broke on my M8 in October and the quotes to get it fixed were nearly twice what a cheapo 4g phone from gear best eventually cost me. Even then I was sure I'd get the M10 or whatever they'll end up calling this year's flagship, until I played with a mate's s6 edge and really fell for it. As soon as Samsung announced the specs of the S7, I was in. From all of the YouTube drop/scratch/dunk tests I've watched, I'm sure it will be more than tough enough for what I'll be throwing at it. If it can survive fifteen minutes dunked in Coke, I'm sure it will be OK if it takes a quick swim in the toilet or a pint, not that such a fate has ever met a phone of mine. I'll give it 6 months before you're begging HTC to take you back
