Hi all, never really read this part of the forum before - a lot to take in!
So after months of saying I'm gonna start mixing... I'm finally getting around to it later this week!
But I have questions... many questions :/
I have nothing right now.. at all - so where would you guys and gals recommend I buy everything from?
Do I buy a kit or individual items?
Looking to make a few custard juices- kreeds and lovechild. and a citrus type juice (I'd love to clone G2 vapors cactus juice). maybe lemon sherbert?
Should I start with one shots?
Best mixing calculator to use? Either online or on my phone.
I'm sure I'll have many more questions and thank you all for any help! Oh and sorry if this has been asked umpteen times before but thought I'd ask just in case things have changed - better websites or equipment to buy etc

you dont need a lot of kit and your best sourcing it separately imho
Nic base - darkstar seem to be the best vfm atm
PG and VG amazon sorted me out for a litre of each
some syringes i went ebay china for glass as the ink falls off the plastic single use jobs, but since then i read in here how folk use tape or nail varnish to protect the ink gradients on plastic syringes DOH!! and nice blunt needles to reach into bottles 14 gauge iirc
and bottles to shake n mix with.. i went to ampulla.co.uk and bought 50x 50ml glass bottle as intended mixing 30ml a time (lots of headroom to shake n mix well)
flavours????? the worlds your oyster.. but i would start with single mix juices you know you like such as red astaire heisenburg etc..
hope thats useful..

Thank you all, will be ordering everything Thursday. Chesterfield a bit far for me atm but I think I'll take a trip there in a couple of months to have a look as the shops here in Derby are awful. I can guarantee I'll have more questions to ask when everything arrives, thanks again for the advice

I can guarantee I'll have more questions to ask when everything arrives, thanks again for the advice Good . . . . please don't hesitate to ask them either Arrowmunda, there are some well experienced mixers on the forum ( as in all areas and aspects ) who will be only too happy to help you. If I had one plea to make to any new mixer, it would be don't be tempted into making mega quantities of anything until you get a feel for your flavours and tastes. I know with subohming we crack through our eliquid at a fair old rate now, but making small samples is still the least wasteful, disappointing and ultimately most successful method of discovering what is and isn't right for you.

Great advice given on here as usual Once you make your first decent juice you'll never look back. The best thing is that it just gets better and better. Gawd when I think of the premade hangsen I used to buy I can't believe I stuck with that for so long. Upon making my first decent juice it was such an eye opener and satisfaction point Good luck Arrowmunda

Make notes! Lots of them.. use pen and paper or a spreadsheet but be meticulous. There's nothing worse than letting a custard steep for a month and find out 2 things: - it's divine
you can't remember how to replicate it
We've probably all been there, done that... it hurts...
