I'm finally taking the plunge and going to try mixing my own juice! i'm on a tight budget so can't really afford premium juices and that my problem! the ones I can afford just don't hit the spot flavour wise, so by making my own I can tweak them a bit, I'm going Nic free now so I won't need that, have my PG and VG on order, yes the P/grade stuff, in fact I have everything except the flavour concentrate, I'm keeping the first try simple and just going for straight Blackberry, so where's the best place to buy a decent concentrate that won't break the bank, I've had a read here but I'm more confused than ever as one will say it's great and another says it's not so great, something else I was told is that fruits don't need steeping, I'm not so sure as all my ready mades improved after a week, so steep or not steep??

I'd suggest starting with something like T Juice as they have easy ones shot concentrates. FlavourArt do a 6 for £16 across there range, they too have some really good blended mixes, although a bit more expensive than some, they are very strong so you get a better bang for your buck. As you say "everyone has different tastes" so it a bit of suck it and see! You'll soon have a shed load of flavours and every time you find a recipe, you'll be missing one flavour????

To be blunt, when starting out you need easy simple flavourings to help build your confidence and Blackberry (alongside Cherry) is far from that.
I too would recommend you pick a pre-blended concentrate (or one-shot) or a more straightforward fruity flavour.

I use Capella Blackberry and it is nice but too tart as a standalone, I mix it with TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream & TFA Dairy to take the tartness out of it and it's very nice mixed like this.
CAP BLACKBERRY 18% TFA VANILLA BEAN ICE 2% TFA DAIRY MILK 2%
IME the fruits I've tried as standalone don't really cut the mustard and I've always needed a sweetener or creamer to help them along, also always now breathe my fruit mixes overnight to take the harshness out of them.

the first mix I made was bubble gum the second was custard (using kreeds recipe ) since then I've made a few more bottles of custard and not yet ventured into making the other stuff ....I did go overboard though I have 30 different conc's and so far only used 6 of them, although I have also watered down some of the pre made juices.....
maybe when the weathers better I will try making other flavours or following recipies, if you don't already have a copy can I suggest you get the desktop version of eJuice Me Up which happily has a bunch of recipes included with it

Would something like UKFlavours 5ml sample pack be something that interests you mowjo? They aren't the most complex of flavours available, but for just under £4 ( postage included ) a pack might provide you with a starting point: www.ukflavours.com/5ml-samples/96-sample.html

Thanks for all the help folks at least now I have some Ideas, I've tried all sorts of pre mades but I always end up back on either Blueberry or Blackberry, I can't seem to get on with sweet flavours, I'll try making 10ml of straight Blackberry first if I don't like it I can always tweek the next batch,,

Blackberry is also very pleasant combined with some Apple, if you're looking for a little variety mowjo . . . . . simple but very vapeable.
