given the Chinese governments stance on e-cigs so far can be summed up as they hurt the treasury so don't do it.... one has to wonder if they are paying for "good Chinese academics" to toe the party line and encourage smoking by the masses to shore up failing tax revenues, certainly it wouldn't be the worst crime against the people conducted by the state in that country, a place where they have systematically wipes out entire towns in the past 50 years for failing to make a profit.....

really its more of a concern that any none Chinese media outlet would carry such a story given the PRC's history of prolific lying about safety to the masses....
