Did anyone else buy a Joyetech Cuboid 150w mod from Fasttech? Did you shove a pair of batteries in, click the button the requisite number of times and get no response? Did you try another pair of batteries, then another, then another, then another, until you accepted the device was thoroughly banjaxed and DOA? Did you swear a lot and feel like hurling the bloody thing against the wall? Did you fire off a stiff note to the good people of Fasttech whilst cursing them and their offspring, yea, unto seven generations? Did you sit slumped on your sofa, feeling stymied and defeated and that you might as well spend this year setting fire to banknotes? Did you then get an overwhelming urge to post the picture of the thoughtful gibbon then go to bed?

OliverB I really shouldn't but your post's do make me giggle. I hope you get things fixed I got my problems fixed very quickly I put in a ticket yesterday and today I had a reply offering me $3 refund to which I replied I would take $5 to replace a broken spare glass and 2 coil heads. I have now spent the $5 and a further £5 I love the way they always make you come back for more punishment icon_shoppingm

Thats a lovely thoughtful gibbon.
I had the same problem with an iStick 100w. It all got sorted out but it took nearly four months to do it.

OliverB Fasttech will likely ask you to record a video of it not working. I can imagine your response to that.

Mine came from Efun and has been spot on since, nothing worse though than a new addition being DOA.

In the interest of full disclosure, I suppose I should update this.
Just before packaging the device up to return to FT, I thought I'd have a final test. I shook it, banged it on the desk, against the wall - all technical troubleshooting stuff. Anyway, in the middle of manhandling it, I squeezed the bottom battery door inwards very hard, and the display lit up. A few more exploratory squeezes revealed that one side of the flap wasn't making contact with the battery. I rolled up some tinfoil into a small ball and trapped it between the battery and the door, and the bloody thing has been working faultlessly ever since. I guess button-topped batteries would also work.
I contacted Fasttech and rather sheepishly explained that my previous rant to them might have been a tad premature. They responded politely with a gift certificate for $2. They stopped short of suggesting that I put it towards a butt-plug or anything else I could roughly shove up my bottom, but I could tell that's what they were thinking.

Love the irony, sarcasm and self deprecation in your posts OliverB Filed the technical stuff for future reference, just like press control alt del and hit device with a house brick!

I'd use a thin neodymium magnets, stick to the battery base and there you go! Available here 4mm x 1mm only £1.98 delivered for 10.
