Why?I bought this on a bit of a whim - it looked easy to set up and I wondered if I would get real benefit from having two decks...
What I gotWell, I got a box:
Containing:
This consisted of the atomiser:
Note - the 510 connector is not adjustable
It has a big wide trip tip (personally I prefer narrower ones):
Here is a view down the "business end":
The top of the body unscrews (Note- this clamps the AFC ring is place once set):
This allows the AFC ring and the main "chimney" to be removed:
Here are a couple of views of the deck, showing the HUGE holes for the coil wires:
The box contains a second, black, AFC ring:
The plastic "tub" in the box:
Contains a second complete deck:
(Strange how the serial numbers are so far apart!)
I decided to go for "all black":
The box also contains a bag with the hex key for the post screws, no less than eight spare screws, and spare o-rings:
Building the double visionAs I had two decks, I decide to build them both.
Firstly a single big fat coil of Eagle wire at 0.34 ohms:
And secondly, a dual coil build of twisted Kanthal at a tad under 0.5 ohms:
The atomiser, with its two post design, tall posts and deep well - and BIG post holes - is VERY easy to build on!
In UseI wicked both decks with Japanese Puff cotton...
Here is the Double Vision on my ELA:
The single hole build (with the sort of strong tobacco juice I use) was, unsurprisingly, a bit fierce with a tight mouth to lung airflow
With weaker juice and more open airflow, it provided lots and lots of vapour via lung inhale.
The dual coil proved to suit my mouth to lung vaping much better with good vapour and flavour.
The juice well is good and deep and will support aggressively sub-ohm builds well. I would have liked a "narrower drip tip" option for mouth to lung vaping, but the airflow can certainly be set in a wide range from very airy to tight and the atomiser works fine.
