i may have missed that i did however try a test order and got as far as shipping methods before backing out and posting above ft wont offer any shipping options...

isabel22 did post something along those lines but I managed to place an order for another 4 Samsung 25r's this evening which will likely be coming via surface mail and take about 7 weeks to arrive ...

We just got the news that we won't sell batteries 
Because its slow by Sweden Post, and its dangerous on summer.
And we will update if we have better ways to ship that

Likewise, do they have to go through the usual Royal Mail interrogation when posting them to customers in the UK ? Or are they party to a few white ones in the postage process ?

This came by email to current FT customers last week:

Registered Airmail Of Sweden Post Cannot Ship External Batteries Temporarily

FT Services Board:

In FT email today came this:

"Due to post office made changes on the shipping procedures, all the packages shipped via Sweden post registered airmail will come with two tracking numbers now. " blah blah check directlinktrackedplus.com/blah/blah 

That now has a second tracking No. appended. I have not bought batteries and in fact I cancelled them because of 1st email above.

I suspect shipping is heading off to PostNL as with GearBest (tracking don't work) and I do have batteries in a GearBest order..so where they are I do not have a clue. Not even a notification of departure to GB as with FT tracking.

I think GearBest have notification from air cargo companies that Batts on any waybill will negate shipping. Or may even be off loaded somewhere along the way. Snail mail result?

given that due to summer its impossible to ship batts I rather suspect the route they were taking was land based via Tunisia then through spain where the dessert heat makes them extremely dangerous item to transport, they were already banned from shipping via sea due to the Tianjin incident, which I suspect means batteries will only be available for those who are getting them from outside of china for the next few months until air shipping is resumed

no doubt the incidence of rewrapped substandard stuff will increase along with the numbers of those suffering harm from such dodgy cells ...

I understand some of that nanotm having lived in the 40 deg C areas with and without aircon. And the variability of air cargo is a worry. Not sure of the dog leg route(s) by air but as regards bunches of Batts it looks to be all over.
