Last night my evic mini started smoking from the positive contact, I thought the battery was blowing up. I took the battery out (which was red hot) but realised the contact inside the mod was now stuck in and doesn't have the spring action any more. The battery add it turns out is fine, still charges up amd holds its charge but the mod won't work at all, screen doesn't light up and won't fire up. Needless to say I am gutted and £60 down the toilet
So after smoking a stinky and trading the horrid taste in my mouth, I used my business credit card to order myself a sigeilei spark 90w and 4 x Sony batteries so at least I'll have a new mod and 7 batteries in total.
Anyone use the spark 90w or know if it's any good? I watched a couple of reviews on YouTube that reckon it was pretty good :/

shame about the evic mini, i did notice when pulling a battery out of mine with the ribbon helper i was feeling a snag on the +ve sprung terminal against the lip of the battery wrap. And on inspection of the batteries effected the 'catch' was visible. Since noticing that i have been depressing against the spring and removing the battery -ve end first before relieving the pressure on the sprung +ve terminal and my battery wraps remain intact..
Im sure your aware a torn battery wrap is dangerous, as the metalic body of the battery is the -ve terminal.
I like my sigelei 75w mod, its well made, and works as expected.
While i am no expert when it comes to batteries and their capacity, but is 90w achievable with a single 18650 battery?

In theory with the right combo of atomizer resistance and very serious (indeed) high drain battery. By the way, I think the Spark is the one for me, next. It looks the business. I shall enjoy it at 25% of it's awesome power-ness.

Update: my mate opened up the evic and reckoned it was beyond repair, it had been leaking ejuice into the innards of the housing of its components and smelled of electrical burning. The plastic around the hole where the positive contact slides in/out was melted stopping the contacts movement so i used scissors to Reem it out, tested it with a battery and it worked! So I cleaned it up and put it all back together, works like a beauty again now lol. I'll keep it as a spare seeing as I have the sigelie on its way

I would point out about the pos spring as Ive had an evic apart, the paint on the case is all that is insulating the pos of the battery from shorting. When I rebuilt mine I added some epoxy to the area where the spring sits to improve the insulation

Cheers phtumshk With regards to the leaking clone I solved it with an extra o ring stretched and placed around the outer edge at the bottom of the rda. Seems to have worked. My new sigelei spark is pretty good, tiny little thing seeing as it pushes out 90watts. What I don't like is the battery compartment, the removable magnetic battery cover seems flimsy and is difficult to get the battery in and out. My evic mini has a ribbon to help get battery out but the spark is designed so you need pliers to do the job lol
