I now have the equipment to use for my regular vaping about 1.8 ohms, and the equipment (mod) to sub ohm,is there a tank(s) that i can use for both by changing coils or does it need separate tanks.

Atlantis / Melo & Triton can all use the same coils and they come in sub & above ohm, the I-Sub family are well recommended & can use both types of coils, the GS Air family of tanks all use both types and even the Ego & Vamo family can use both types, loads of tanks out there that have both types of coils depending on what you want.

If your looking at the triton make sure its the v2. As said above the i sub range is not a bad call or the kanger subtank mini top tank can be use for both MTL or DTL vaping.

not used mine yet but the triton 2 does come with a pre installed 0.5 coil (40-45watts) for sub ohm and a 1.8 coil (10-13watts) for mouth to lung.

I don't understand MTL,DTL,sorry.I know it's mouth to lung and direct to lung but that's it. yorkshireman - they are basically two different ways to inhale your vapour. MTL (Mouth-To-Lung) is essentially the same as smoking tobacco; you inhale the vapour into your mouth then draw it down into your lungs when you have a good mouthful. DLI (Direct Lung Inhale) is similar to a 'reverse whistle' - you inhale the vapour directly into your lungs by opening your throat and drawing the vapour direct from your device, rather than holding it in your mouth first. DLI became popular with the advent of sub-ohm tanks which work at resistances of less than one ohm, meaning the coils heat up more quickly and vaporise more juice. For this reason, DLI-ers like myself vape much lower nicotine levels (3mg for me, and many others too), as the volume of vapour inhaled is increased so the nic needs to be lower or else all those nasty side-effects will manifest themselves. The tanks for DLI vaping need a larger airflow as the coils are heating up more quickly and the air flowing over the coils helps keep them cool. VG levels in the juice are higher too, which helps if you want more vapour production. Hope this helps!

While you can build an ohm+ coil in a subtank rta without issue, though you may need to provide a more substantial wick dam to stem the juice flow and ensure only wicked juice gets to the coil. building a sub ohm coil on an 'older' style atty may be problomatic, the insulators used to separate the +ve terminal may not be up to dealing with the extra heat, and if it does you may find the juice channels are too restrictive to supply the extra juice needed to supply the sub ohm vapour. some mtl styled attys have afrter martet insulator upgrade kits the kayfun V4 for example (only 1 i know of..) to enable sub ohm vaping. the great thing about vaping is what works for you is right for you.. so you use your kit the way that suits you
