Are you getting any error codes, or is it just cutting out James . . . what are you using on it and at what voltage? Is it doing this all the time now, or just occasionally? There's a trouble shooting page on Provape's site, although it seems a bit early in the day for you to be having these issues with yours? www.provape.com/v/troubleshoot.htmReally must get to bed now, but Gordy will be about later I'm sure as well as Andy maybe, so they may well have some better advice to give you.

well, it was working fine, and now cuts out really quickly. no error codes. worked fine for a couple of days and now just shuts off after a few seconds. only about 4.2v and using a tank with a single coil. but whatever i put in it it seems to do the same thing.
not sure what to do... battery full charged, turned it off and on again,,,,,,,, having no luck with these VV devices at all

what are you using on the provari ? carto tank with a scc ? are you swapping this onto a different device and maybe pushing the pin up so its not making connection ?

Again James, could it be the battery, what are you using? I'm starting to think along these line too, are you using protected battery's or are you using the recommended AW IMRs?

I think it may be the batteries too, when I use the ultrafires on the LT this happens, with decent batteries it doesn't, I also get misfires on the LT with ultrafire batteries and not with the panasonic ones. Is it something to do with what they call the C rating? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Is it something to do with what they call the C rating? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? It's basically that ultrafires don't seem to be able to handle the pull. I have an old Epower 18650 mod and out of interest tried the UF's in it, absolute crap, button flashing, cutting out. Then tried them in my LT, it cut out after 5 secs. I don't know why I keep them. I use Panny's or Sanyo's and have absolutely no probs with them. I'm convinced James problems are to do with batteries.

I swap batteries about a bit as I have a few 18650 options.
Have found Trustfire's can be a little hit or miss with the ProVari so would have recommended trying with an IMR. The tolerances of the device seem to be far less forgiving as regards battery size than the others I have used which thinking about it is fine as that is a safety feature. Irritating certainly but with a bit of thought quite comforting too.
How is it going apart from that ?

A bit more info is needed James, what are you using on it (carto etc) what voltage settings and are you getting any error codes when it cuts out. Again what battery(s)?
If you want help, you need to give more information to give people an idea.

Sell it and buy 20 Ego's And after the 5 or 6 years it will take those to die out realize that the ProVari would still be working ? I have read about grease getting on the battery post during manufacture. Not normal but if you sell as many as they do occasionally this will happen in a workshop. Get a Q-Tip with a touch of vodka or de-greaser. Take out the battery and look into the device and give the battery post a little clean. No need to go OTT with it. See if there is any residue on the Q-Tip. If that doesn't work use it with IMR's for a while and see if that fixes the issue.
