Hi all Was at cornishliquids yesterday and was looking at the new Geekvape Avocado, a dripper (top feed) with a 2ml tank underneath a Velocity deck, almost a Genesis-styled tank. Has anyone any experience with one of these, I'm very tempted as, despite liking the dripping flavour thing, I get really frustrated having to drip every few tokes. The tank option would mean that I get the same flavour experience without having to drip, and it just looks so goddamn sexy! Your comments would be appreciated! Andy B

I had the fodi from Hcigar which was a great looking tank but was flawed in many ways. which was good when i first got it but sold it on as it was not wicking correctly. I think the wicking holes where the cotton goes int the tnak were too constrictive
This on the other hand is fantastic. It has bigger wicking channels (3mm i belive on both sides and is a really well made tank. I love it and cant pt it down. It drinks the juice though with only 3 ml. Flvaour is better than my goblin minis 9 So its the best)
its defo dripper like flavour and vapour and I would highly recommend it. its not perfect as to fill you need to remove a wick from the hole.

I agree with this. Fodi was/is a great tank but badly made. Poor threads and materials. The Avocado is very robust and much better in single coil mode (use the other wick holes to fill it), if using two coils/wicks use a syringe needle to refill. Keep the coil/wick slightly thinner than the wick holes and its a real trooper, if 3mm holes use a coil with internal diameter less than 3mm. Lovely flavour and easy to coil/wick. Only down side is the odd name.

I have the avocado and love it, better flavour than any other tank/dripper I have including Griffin, Moonshot, Aromamizer (RDA & RDTA), Crius, Bellus etc.
And I've only ever used it in single coil! Read about leaking if not kept upright so I use it at home only.
Recommended to chap on POTV and he loves it too.
Cannot hesitate to recommend this, buy buy buy!

Thanks paulbee, that's the sort of recommendation I am looking for! I'll get in touch with cornishliquids and reserve one right now!

Well, I did indeed pop over to the guys at Cornish Liquids to pick up the Avocado they out to one side for me, and after three tanks through the RTA/RDA, here are my thoughts. Came well packaged, with a spare frosted glass tank, large bore chuff cap and the obligatory bag of spares, o-rings, spare screws, and an Allen key. Also had a spare ceramic blanking device for single coil builds. I opted to go for the single coil, and built it with a 3mm ID 6 wraps .6mm Kanthal coil (.4ohm), wicked with a Muji cotton strip - convenient (or planned?), a strip of a 'standard' muji pad fits perfectly through the coil with tails reaching the bottom of the 3ml tank. I filled up with some 'My Man' clone juice, and set the X-Cube II at 40w which seemed to suit the build really well. The airflow is very adjustable, and goes from tight MTL settings to fully open DLI giving loads of air through the deck area for good juice production. It seems to be thirsty, and I have filled it twice more before changing tanks for palate reasons! My verdict? If you want a small tank which is easy to fill (just pop off the top cap, remove the ceramic plug and fill through one of the large holes), this is ideal. It feels really well made, no burrs or sharp edges, and solid heft in the hand. The threads are all really good, and the small Allen key screws seem to be good quality too. I can see this is a late evening tank which will get used for long-term juice testing and evaluation, as well as dripper taste and vapour without having to re-drip every 4 tokes! Suits me down to the ground, and £26 well spent - thanks cornishliquids!

must say love it been using mine for 10 days now tried it with clapton ss and ni must say i like it best with ss coil, i use only in single coil mode round 0.4ohms between 35 and 40w, duel coil would be too much of a faff to fill as whould need syringe or needlenose tip to fill beside wick as there is no seperate fill hole. not used a dripper since purchase.
