I know this has probably been asked a million times but what coil does everyone recommend for the subtank mini?? I've been using ready made 0.5ohm twisted coils from F/T and they are pretty good, I now have the means to make my own coils so was going to give it a go, I've been told that I need 26 guage wire, but I'm wondering whether to go for Kanthol or Stainless, I normally vape at 26w, as I'm more into flavour than clouds,

SS is primarily aimed at TC vaping, though afaik it can be used with VW vaping too unlike Ni200 and Ti. Kanthal is probably your best bet unless your wanting a TC vape. im sure you have this link bookmarked already www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp but just in case.. having fitted the FT coils in the subtank mini rba your aware of the size constraints..

errrr.....I was about to recommend one then I realised that I haven't got kanthal or SS in any of my subtank RBAs. I'm using 0.4mm/26g nichrome 80

mowjo are you going to recoil stock heads or rba deck? I use .32 316l in the heads and .4 316l in the rba's. I find that ss gives a crisper flavour. I only use vw, not tc.I also use rayon rather than cotton for these because for my shot tastebuds it seems better.

I also like the subtank mini rba deck for its size but the screws can be a bit of a PITA undo them too far and they pop off the deck don't undo them enough and the wire wont slide under them .......

Sorry I forgot to mention it's the RBA deck, think I'll stick with the kanthol though, I can't work out steam engine, if I use 26 guage Kanthol and want 0.5ohm coils it's saying I only neeed three wraps, my ready made twisted 0.5 have around seven wraps, even the 0.5 premade kanger one have fivr wraps...
