That is just an extra for convenience, for best performance you want the mains adapter that is normally included. ETA it seems there are a couple of retail packages, at the bottom of the Xtar page the mains adapters are marked with a astrix. Also this will only be a 0.5 A charger with more than 2 batteries, very slow, not quite Nitecore slow and 4 x 1 A 1 bay chargers or 2 x 1 A 2 bay chargers would be a better bet for a 3 18650 mod. IMO. www.xtarlight.com/05-chanpin/p-001-1.asp?styleid=340

Right it's between the stat vc4 and the nit or d4, I want something that will charge at least 3 battery's and not take all day to do it also I don't like the idea of messing around with plug adapters ( USB thingy ) which of these 2 would you say is my best choice.

I be honest I've had this charger for a long time and there may be ones which charge faster. But love this lay out its simple shows you exactly how much charge the battery's have and when the fully charge. If this broke I would buy the same one again. And if I couldn't get this one again. I proberly give this one a go. www.vampirevape.co.uk/efest-luc-blu6-lcd-intelligent-charger.html

You can link this one to an app on your phone So you can put your feet up and check your phone to see if your battery's are ready.

minime they all seem to have got slower in the last couple of years, but most 4 bay chargers only charge at half their top rate when you have more than 2 bays in use, so 4 bays will almost always be slower than 2 bays. IIRC Nitecores charge at about 0.37 A and these at 0.5 A in that situation. I have 2 x XTar SP2 and can charge 4 batteries at 2 A, but unfortunately they seem to have been discontinued now so you may have to go for a 1 A charger. At a guess for say 2500 mAh batteries a 0.37 A would take 7:15, 0.5 A 5:25, 1 A 2:50, 2 A 1:30. I never charge unattended so finding 5 hours where I am going to be in the room every day or two is virtually impossible YMMV and that may not be an issue for you. If I were buying for a 3 battery device ATM I think I would go for 3 or 4 XTar MC1+ www.xtarlight.com/05-chanpin/p-001-1.asp?styleid=347eu.nkon.nl/charger/lithium/xtar-mc1-plus-li-ion-mini-battery-charger.htmlwww.fasttech.com/products/1421/10002304/2563900And a USB supply that had 3 or more 1 A outputs.

Minime are you also looking for simplistic?

I know, I am trying to help and not trying to bamboozle you it's just that most if not all of these 4 bay chargers will be even slower, it's the elephant in the room that people never mention about chargers and just say they have one and love it, but well all mostly rate the things we bought. The market seems to have gone toward more features like multiple battery types and flashy screens at the expense of conveyance. The MC1+ is cheap, sample and not too slow, but you need 3 and USB supply, the one Taylor posted may do you, but I cannot personally recommend EFest.
