The paint on one of my white Kanger subtanks is flaking off on the inside and I have had white bits of paint floating around in the liquid - not good. I want to get the white paint off so that it's just stainless steel and the only solution my husband has come up with is to use paint stripper - would this be ok to use or is there something else better/safer that I can use? Any recommendations would be very appreciated

Slow and steady wins the race. Just carry on with your favourite e juice, getting it off 1 little piece at a time. Joking aside, cant see why paint stripper couldnt be used. Obviously youd be giving it a damn good clean after wards so there wouldnt be any chance of vaping something noxious.

Acetone nail polish remover, leave it in a glass full for 24 hours. Take all the o-rings off and 510 pin and insulator out first. When the paint is gone give it a really good soak and wash in soapy water then rinse it off well with fresh clean water.

I've got some of that in the cupboard and it says 'con acetona' on the bottle which I suppose translates back to 'with acetone'. I'll put it through the ultrasonic cleaner afterwards a few times to clean it thoroughly Thanks peeps for all your input. Oh and from now on I'm only gonna buy stainless steel - nothing painted in the future.

Thank you for this thread toots and all the helpful peeps who replied. My subtanks are losing paint too. Red Astaire cleaned most of the paint from one and I stupidly put it in another painted tank....so that's started to bubble! Think I'll soak the remaining painted tanks....
