Very outdated. But that was all that was available, coming up to 8 years ago when I bought my first e-cig. Back then, hardly anyone had even heard of e-cigs, so I posted wherever I could about them, as I knew they had so much potential to help every smoker. Got to admit, it's blooming brilliant to see more & more of the medical world, now seeing how e-cigs can save lives.Sadly it all appears to be a little late as the TPD is coming into force, and lots of bans appearing across the world. If only these people had come out a year ago what a difference it could have made. sydsut, much as I respect your opinion, I have to disagree with you here. It wouldn't have made any difference how early these people had stepped forward and pitched in their expert opinion/advice. IMO, this was never about public health, it was about filling a void in the budget and to make sure there is enough left to fill political pockets. Having said that, methinks Prof. Britton won't be very high on big Dave's Christmas card list.

well apparently the EC commissioner for health is preparing ot file serious fines against the countries that fail to transpose the TPD legislation by the 20th of may, so I would expect the majority of them (20+ eu countires currently) to be passing the entire text of the TPD as is in a bit of a rush between now and then, but not to worry because the idiot is ideologically opposed to vaping and has already produced a secondary diktat to the TPD that banns all but tobacco flavours (including zero nic ones) and also is planning to restrict the sale of vg + pg and flavours to non industry buyers in the coming months, all safe in the knowledge that he wasn't elected and has a job for life unless he choses to step down .....
unless we leave the EU and that legislation isn't withdrawn then vaping wont even be an option in just over a years time for the majority....

The other sad reality of the situation sydsut is, when the TPD comes into force, some vaper, somewhere is going to be happily vaping away and will fall foul of this bombscare ruling. And the government will be all too happy to have the prosecution splattered all over the media, just to try and justify what they have done. Incompetent Aresholes !

Everything else that attracts additional taxation is justified on health or environmental grounds. i.e. cigarettes; alcohol; fuel. It is going to be much more difficult; if not impossible to impose additional taxation; excise duties etc on a product that is being advanced as a healthy option by most medical/health experts.

I think this report is great for all of us, but why do the press keep using outdated images. Does anyone use one of these? I'm sure the majority use something a bit more sophisticated these days. I started out with 1 of these and 100 tobacco.flavoured carts..not realising that the atty was the key and could easily burn out or die quickly..A new atty cost me £7.00 and I waited 7 days to receive it...I almost gave up.. Then I found absolutely wicked and purchased a screwdriver £100.00 on sale WOW! And then the blue foam in the cartridge to prolong the vape It was like sucking vapour through a wet cloth.. Now its evolved into a pleasure.I can still get nervous if I cant find a working setup ..Hence backup after backup My take on the description of the outdated image is that there is probably tons of these in a warehouse somewhere hidden in This green and pleasant land that are just waiting to be sold off to the NHS for use in referral cases..bit like the old national health spectacles (glasses) that were issued to the needy kids in the 1950's I can see it all now ...Oh! Dear best get on

Not going to happen else it would have already happened with fertiliser as can be used by terrorists for all sorts of things So chill folks and vape on! fertiliser purchase is restricted in a lot of places, also in an attempt to prevent future use for bomb making they removed glycol ethanol from consumer marketplace (because without both parts you cant make a timed fertiliser bomb)
