Im a few months into diy'ing now and have learnt alot in a short space of time thanks to a this forum..and a few people in particular..you know who you are. Anyway, a couple of months ago im embarked on a custard mission of making my OWN recipe. Had some failures. But kept at it! I made 3 different recipes and left them for a week before trying them. When i did try them i thought here we go again..dull bland flavour. Lobbed the bottles in the cupboard with a view of throwing them down the sink . Well i went to said cupboard tonight to have a clear out of bits n bobs and found these custards so thought id try them! First one was nice. Not amazing but actually nice to vape. Second one is really nice to vape!! Havent tried the third one yet. So basically...dont throw them away so soon as steeping custards really does make a huuuge difference! Probably a novice tip for most of you diy pro's but for the newer diy'ers i thought this might help someone. One happy custard addict

Dad's custard at 4 weeks now is starting to shine. Another week or so and I reckon it's a winner

I mix in sufficient quantities that my vaping custard juices are all at least 3 months old, and often more. They aren't as dark as Greg's above, but they are certainly well matured, and taste full of flavour every time. To add to your observations, thebishman, I would heartily suggest that if you are able to, mix more juice than you need, and in larger quantities too. If you mix regularly, you will end up with a good stock of different flavours, all of them ready to vape, and will never be stuck for vapeable juice. You may also save a few pennies by buying PG, VG and nic base in larger quantities. I cringe when I see people paying a fiver (or more!) for a litre of VG when my last 5 litres of VG from Lubrisolve cost less than £15!!

Im now venturing into that stage now. I bought small to get me going and see if i had success. Now its time to buy more for less. Conc too!

Yes, I should have said that too thebishman - no point in mixing large until you are sure of the recipe. With sub-ohming and larger capacity tanks, I am getting through more juice these days, but don't care a fig because I can mix up 150ml of satisfying juice for the price of 30ml of 'Premium' juice from a retailer. No contest!
