Are we about to see temperature control taken to new levels of accuracy and control? That seems to be the claim of the new Vaptio S150 mod and atomiser combo. There seems to be little information about this new mod from Vaptio which in the past has made some nice stylish mods, but seems to have stolen a march on Innokin as the first to come out with a sensor in the head rather than rely on variations of resistance to determine the temperature. Although it still does that as well according to what I've seen, so other atties will work in the normal TC way. I first saw this mod on Vaping Underground, and even after loads of searches can only find it available from Heaven Gifts, who are also running a competition to give away 30 of these units. Although you need to be quick to enter if you want one as the competition ends on 9 May. Go HERE to enter. Anyway back to this mod. As I mentioned earlier it seems to have a temp sensor right in the head to control the temperature. They appear to have come out with a special atty shown above that uses a 510 pin, but has three contacts built in. So other atties can be used on the mod which seems to be a sensible way to go. Stats from Heaven Gifts site HERE. Build-in sensor accurate temperature control Temp control supports Ni200/Ti/SS316L wires Super Large OLED screen New OCC Coil design Top Refill ATC Tank Parameters
S150 MOD: Output Wattage: 1-150W Max output Voltage: 7.6V Max output Current: 25A Screen Size: 0.91'' OLED Loading Resistance: 0.05-2 ohm for TC mode; 0.1-4ohm for VW/ATC mode S150 ATC Tank:
Resistance: OCC 0.4 ohm Material : Stainless steel/ Pyrex glass E-liquid Capacity: 3.0 ml Vaptio S150 ATC Kit comes with
1 x S150 Box MOD 1 x S150 ATC Tank 1 x ATC Coil 1 x Kanthal Coil 1 x USB cable 1 x Manual This unit uses 1 x 18650 battery. I have yet to see any reviews on this mod so it will be interesting to see them when they come out. Unlike the Innokin hype from late last year who promised a similar unit, it looks like these are about to ship, so well done Vaptio if they have done it. I just wish it could have been a bit more stylish like their other mods. Check out Vaptio's website, although they don't yet have this unit on there for some reason, and seem to have hooked up with Heaven Gifts to promote it.

Aha Yes hopefully this is the start of better tc as I've just gone back to power mode because after a year or so of tc it's done my head in. Shame it's only a single battery but hey hoe, if it works we might get bigger and better. Good find BobsbeerEntered the competition

150w on a single 18650 battery ? Have I missed something here ? I think it's 2 by the size of it. But what is odd it lists wires for temp sensing and has an independent sensor in the atty? Maybe they were just talking about the standard thermistor they all have on the board that allows them to estimate room temp. You'd have to see if there is a 3rd connection for the atty to have a better idea and if not a standard 510 that would make it a closed/propriety system that you can't use other tanks on. Actually it says "510 thread" under order tips so it seems unlikely there is an independent sensor in the atty unless it's wireless or uses a very high frequency data signal piggybacked on to the power connection.
E: there was more info on the comp page, still missing where it says one 18650, that would never work.

I wouldn't get rid of them because of just that scenario. Updates and different wires is the reason I bought them in the hope they'd be future proof. I look forward to the update sir

Likewise, couldn't find where it states one 18650 but it does look big enough to house two in there. But if its geared for more accurate TC then it isn't offering me anything different as I don't use it. If it utilises a system whereby it can only be used with one atty, then I don't view that as much of an incentive to purchase it.

From what I've read, the unit operates on kanthal or any type of wire in the Vaptio atty, as that is measuring the temperature from the sensor, not the wire. If you use a different atty with say Ni200 then it will TC in the more common method of measuring resistance. This is just hitting the market, so no doubt more info will be coming out in the next few days. As for battery I haven't seen anything about the number of 18650's, just that they don't come with the unit. Down near the bottom of the page on Heaven Gifts it says: Order Tips510 thread The S150 MOD doesn't have a battery cell. You can buy 18650 batteries. The ATC tank doesn't include e-juice. You can buy it separately.

Your OP states 1 x 18650 battery Bobsbeer . I was basing that on the way it was worded. "The S150 MOD doesn't have a battery cell". It was written singular so presumed 1x 18650. I may be wrong as there is little info about this mod on Heaven Gifts and none on the Vaptio website which is odd.

Ok Bobsbeer, that clears things up. Just thought you maybe had a more reliable source of info than the rest of us.

I'm not sure which link you mean esuxa? If you mean the one for the giveaway, I thought people might be interested, rather than sneaky, I have no connection to Heaven Gifts, just a punter along with the rest of us, although I will admit I like Heaven Gifts as a company. Giving away 30 units is quite a promotion in my view. Most only usually give away 1 or 2, so 30 is quite a step up and increases the chances of winning. But those not interested don't need to enter, it's not compulsory.

Who's a lucky boy then. I am now the proud owner of an S150. I'll do a proper review later, but one thing I can tell you is that it takes 2 x 18650 batteries. So that clears up that issue. They were really easy to fit with a bottom flap that unlatches with s slight press and push. Loaded with batteries it feels nice and solid. The finish is a satin paint type finish with red anodised edge detail. Once my batteries are charged up I can give it a toot with the ATC coil that comes fitted. Filling the atty was a piece of cake too, but as the batteries are only on 30% I'll have to wait. More once I've given it a try.
