I recently lost my wife, and we cremated her on Wednesday with a very nice Humanist ceremony because neither of us were religious (mainly after being refused a church wedding nearly 43 years ago) Last Saturday I received a large envelope with a smaller one inside, and to say I was blown away by the kindness and sympathy shown by the following members is an understatement, especially as I have only known them for about 2 years. Thanks for all your kind messages, I only told a few people at the last Vape Meet that she was in hospital, unfortunately she died the next day, it wasn't really unexpected as she had been unwell for years, and I was told on the previous Wednesday that she was too weak in the heart to survive any attempt at CPR, her main family members were all with her when they took away the oxygen to allow her to pass peacefully, and at least she is suffering no longer. But I am fairly strong in mind if not in body and am able to cope quite well with the loss, and I have my cat to keep me company |
