I'm wondering if steeping time differs on the amount of juice made? Like if I made say 100ml of custard and 4 litres would they steep into good custardiness in the same time?

If the ratio of ingredients was the same then I can't see why it would take longer. Im no expert though!

Just I need to make a demijohn of custard so I'm ahead enough How many years ahead are you needing to be jtc ! There must be a good 6 months worth mixed and steeping already in your house . . . . . The Home of Custard.

I'm convincing them But anyway, as custard matures nicely then a demijohn kinda makes sense

I mix my custards 400ml at a time, I have some 500ml bottles from nic base and other bases which are ideal for mixing in, nice wide mouths and a bit of head room for good shakeage!
I currently have just started one, and have another steeping away quietly. Time to get mixing again!
