How are you at building coils? The Griffin will deal with 100% VG if that's what you want. Very easy to build on. If you're having trouble with burned out coils then getting good at building your own would be the first thing to do IMO.

www.elegantvapour.co.uk/vector-rda-authentic-2117.htmlFantastic flavour machine, great price too. I would cut back on the VG if you're vaping at those kind of watts 50/50 or 60/40 VG/PG mix should be fine. I really only vape high VG juice because i tend to vape at higher watts on low resistance builds and the throat hit gets harsher the more PG you use with that kind of vaping. When i was using kanger subtanks with 0.5ohm builds at 25W-30W i would be fine with 50/50 or 60/40 That will help your wicking keep up better but i don't think it really makes a huge difference in gunking up coils, that's more an issue with the flavourings and additives used in different types of juice. A custard will gunk up pretty quickly but something like a straight strawberry will barely gunk the coil up at all.

Have you tried upping the watts a bit?

Looking at your choice of atties there sc00terx, I have a TFV4 and a stable of Griffins, and I run these with dual or triple coils at anything from 45-80w using 3mg juice with 30/70 PG/VG. I wonder if by mixing juice with a lower nic ratio and then powering up your mods substantially you might get the flavour you are looking for without any further financial outlay. 30% PG in the final mix should be enough to give a good enough hit for you, whilst vaping 'physically' more juice per tug you should notice a big improvement in flavour.

Just a thought sc00terx - whereabouts are you in the country? If you can get along to a vapemeet this would be a great way of talking to fellow enthusiasts and seeing how they build, wick and mix for themselves. I have learnt much of what I know by talking to other vapers, although the forum comes a very close second of course

From what I've gathered on the Smok TFV4 is that for flavour the quad coils are best - but on your sub ohm tanks you really need to up the power drastically to get better flavour.
I try to keep my rebuildables for custards and bakery flavours (so I can easily wick change at no cost) which I know are coil clogging juices. Stock coils are for eliquids I know I can get a decent lifespan from like fruits and menthols combos so I can get a decent time from them!
I'm probably in a similar position to you in that I cant seem to push my power beyond 30 watts! I am planning to try ...... its knowing what the coil will take and where the sweet spot is, I've been reading up and noting which coils and tanks do what power so it's trail and error to find what works best for you

I've got a Crius with 0.34ohm dual tiger coils at 40w Pepperty It's a helluva vape. Pushed it to 55w with clear storm but had to turn it back, couldn't get my nose to stop running.

It sounds like an excellent plan to get yourself a little Black Book of Vaping to jot down what worked for you and what didn't, for future reference. I'm a great List Maker for the same suspect memory reason . . . . .
