Well i love football... but i am ashamed to say im an england fan. Our fans in france have brought shame on us. (As have the russian fans on their country) Disgusting! Its a game of football for christ sake.

In spite of my name I am proud to be English but I will never support the football team, firstly due to the action of some fans but also the dire performances we endure from the team. This morning however England beat Australia 39-28 with no hint of crowd trouble.

Well . . . . in the interests of fairness, it actually appears that the Russian ' supporters ' were responsible for starting the violence after our match yesterday.

Anyone watching would have seen the flare/fireworks going off in their part of the stadium:

Unless our lads, sorry mindless f*cktards, have gone soft, you have to wonder why most of the seriously injured have been English?

Or rather you don't. In recent years Spurs fans have been attacked in Lyon, Rome and Brussels, minding their own business each time before getting hit by local ultras. But unless someone gets seriously injured it isn't all that newsworthy. I know other English fans have run into trouble while peacefully trying to enjoy European away trips.

What happens when you massively increase the number of fans, place them in an already highly charged atmosphere and throw in a much increased media presence? What we've seen for the last few days.

Don't get me wrong, I know England fans haven't exactly been saints over the years and a small minority will have gone to France for a scrap, but every nation in the tournament has those individuals looking to spoil it for the rest.

If you're a European hooligan, kicking the crap out of an England fan is the jackpot. It didn't take a genius to predict that the idiots in the Russian fans were going to give it a go and that groups of French youths were going to attack the English for as long as England remain in the competition. It won't stop.
