Hi striker42, Haven't really discussed price with him yet but I can't imagine he's going to sell it cost price. I'll take the plunge it. I'm not going to make it down unfortunately. Not this time anyway. Doing a lot of driving from Thurso down to Aberdeen (on Friday and back on Sunday) just now for work and the additional drive down to Edinburgh is a bit too much driving for me at a weekend. Shame because it sounds like fun. Maybe another time. Perpetua, Oh that looks interesting. I'm assuming that's just standard coils he's rewicking? Cost savings...I like that Are we able to do that with standard Kanger coils? Thanks for all the information people. Definitely glad I stopped by here

I use the 2.0 ohm coils and I can't get the wick out without damaging the coils I've tried numerous times and end up buggering the coil up! It's so frustrating!!

TJ I'm so glad it's not just me, I've been ever so gentle too but still cant manage it, I've left them to dry out for a couple of days and still failed ! Maybe the 2.0 coils have more cotton than the 0.5, does anybody know I wonder?

Haven't got to that stage with it yet Lynne77. Still on the first coil. Will report back once I've [attempted] it though.

Lynne77 and TJ the most likely reason that you can't remove the wick without destroying the coil is that the 2.0 ohm coils will be made from much thinner wire probably 30 or 32 gauge whereas the 0.5 ohm coils will be thicker 24 or 26 gauge wire.

@yinyang Thanks so much for that, as I don't rebuild I didn't think about it being the wire.
